This was our third stay at the Lusitano and the first time we were not pushed for time. We were able to enjoy the very comforatable terrace area. We enjoyed the bar service and the great value prices. The bedroom and bathroom are very large, plenty of space.

This is a new, comfortable, modest lodging with a purpose. "Rewilding Portugal" is involved with projects mostly in the Coa River valley. The location here in Vale de Madeira highlights the beauty of the natural landscape, and the acceptance of the Rewilding Center in the small village. The kitchen was especially nice. It allowed me to fix my own means (and clean up afterwards, of course), but it's big enough to serve events and large groups. Very well done, very well thought out facility. Good showers, good mini-split heater in my room. Very clean, with attentive staff.
