Casinha dos Avos provided a complement of 2 couples and an additional personal with a very enjoyable stay in a quaint and idyllic location (Escalos the Cima). The location is very close to the city of Castelo Branco, yet private and secluded. the staff is very friendly. Even running the risk of not mentioning everybody, I must name Ricardo as overwhelming nice. The restaurant is also superb (and very good price for what you get). We only had dinner in the last night, but we regreted: we should have eaten there every night. I must say that my experience was even better because due to a problem in the shower of the Superior Room we had reserved, we were upgraded to a suite, and this is a marvelous room. As my wife said, staying in the suite made our experience unicque.

We wanted somewhere very quiet and easily accessible. It was also very luxurious and had a lot of extra facilities, including a pool and sauna (10 euros). It is quite close to the mountain top village of Monsanto, which is incredibly beautiful and amazing .
