The castle is pleasant and worth a visit.

The castle is pleasant and worth a visit. The Telecabin is weather dependent and expensive so choose your dates, and be wary of queue times. Otherwise the village is run down, with little to do and feels very neglected. Nicer to find a trail and go walking. Glad I went but one day was more than enough - sorry!

We only spent one night in Busteni, in order to visit the...

We only spent one night in Busteni, in order to visit the Cantacuzino Palace. Our impression was that the resort is not very well managed -- some roads were under construction with very little signage or access instructions, a lot of restaurants appeared on the map but were in reality closed for good (not just for the season). In fact, we weren't able to find one with a terrace, to have lunch, and driving around is not an option -- the main street is always packed with cars back to back. We managed to visit the Cantacuzino Palace, but only because we got there before they opened -- it seems part of the Netflix series Wednesday was shot there, and now the palace has accrued the Netflix kind of fame. There were several huge busses filled with Ukrainian visitors at the gate. When we got out, after the visit, the queue was at least a hundred people long (and that's without counting the organized groups, they had separate access).

Bușteni really is a gem in the Prahova Valley.

Bușteni really is a gem in the Prahova Valley. Its relatively flat layout compared to nearby towns like Sinaia or Azuga does make it more walkable, especially for longer strolls without steep climbs. Being right at the foot of the Caraiman Peak with the Bucegi Mountains towering around gives it that dramatic, postcard-perfect backdrop. It's no wonder the town has become a favourite for both hikers and casual visitors alike. If you're up for it, the hike or cable car up to the Heroes’ Cross on Caraiman is well worth the effort—stunning views from up there.

If you're visiting to go see the mountains this is a great place. If you're looking for a city to walk through and do stuff in, it's almost useless. You can find good food, sure. But nothing to do in the city, per say. The attraction comes from the amazing mountain routes.

Beautiful Bucegi mountains views everywhere!

Beautiful Bucegi mountains views everywhere! That's why people come here! But you have to put up with bad traffic, especially weekends! It can be a great hub for quick trips around to Sinaia, Predeal, Brasov and of course Bran Castle! Good food to be had, @ La Etaj, Casa Ancutei, Casa Magical!

Spacious and equipped apartment. It has many things that make it feel like a home and not a hotel: games, toys, decorations, kitchenware. Despite that it was sparkling clean! It shows that a lot of thought was put into making guests feel comfortable and at ease, with plenty of accessible information about the area. Mihaela was very kind and helpful. It's on the edge of the forest and right by the trailhead for the waterfalls. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back!

An accommodation in the center of Busteni, with shops and restaurants nearby. The room was warm and clean, and the staff very kind. The fact that they welcome pets is a big plus, especially since they also welcomed us in the restaurant with our puppy. Also, the food was very good and in large quantity, and the prices were acceptable. We will definitely come back! ❤️

Everything was perfect. We felt like at home. As we have small children - it was so good to have a bath tub and washing mashine for the laundry. This place looks exactly like in the photos, it is in good quite location, close to points of interest (Cantacuzino castel, Pelisor Castel, Peles Castel, Babel Cable Car), shopping centers and things to do (ATV Busteni).
