At first sight i was worried about this hotel (construction site next to hotel) but if we walk in, friendly personel welcome us and get us nice rooms. Restaurant was good, perfect served meals (like in Michelin restaurants maybe :) ) with friendly staff. Maybe bathrooms needs some reconstruction, but it´s just detail, because everything others was perfect. We have little problems with noise from reconstruction in afternoon, so we talk to personal. They stops that noise and we can rest after long trip and manager and personel decide to make some kind of refund - which was perfect for both sides :) ! As a bonus, there was nice shelter next to stream, we make little party over there. Another bonus was a bear behind that shelter, but no worries, he stays in safe distance and hotel dogs and puppies will scary him ! Amazing experience :) Reccomended hotel if you want to stay on Transfagarasan !

The room was nice and in a nice location below the mountains. The hosts were kind and extremely helpful.

The location is perfect with so much nature and a river passing by just next to the cabana..nice infrastructure for family and playground for the kids..very very very clean..it was just an overnight to our roadtrip crossing Tranfagarasan but I would have stayed longer if I knew..very close to balea lake

We liked everything about this hotel! Starting from the location at a beautiful lake and the views, to the food and activities available (spa zone, lake boat trip, ATV tour to the forest). We especially want to thank the staff and the reception host that helped us book all the activities and was very attentive to all the requests. This is the best service level we have seen in Romania so far. I highly recommend the hotel and plan to come back again.

The staff were fantastic. We were looked after by Ellie first who was kind and very helpful then by Cristiana (aka Rainbow) who was great company and very helpful. All the staff were just great. The hotel of ice is beautiful and very special. Rooms were well designed, well made and totally iconic. We were able to choose which room was best and had the facilities of the nearby chalet as needed. The food in the evening at the ice hotel was wonderful (really really delicious and well priced). The novelty of this hotel is wonderful. It was romantic, fun and just beautiful. We will absolutely visit again. The meal was the best value for the quality given. The service was excellent by all standards.
