Beautiful place to escape to for some quiet, and just a 20-minute bus ride to the historic center of Brasov. It's also a quick taxi ride to a couple of caves and historical sites near Rasnov. Lots of hiking and a gorgeous spa -- basically, something for everyone. Restaurants along the main road/lake area play loud pop/folk music constantly, so if quiet is important to you, book further up the road. Be prepared that dining options are limited and a bit expensive as it's a resort town, but you have grocery stores and more restaurant variety nearby in the city for a pinch.

Beautiful region, very touristy and popular but rightfully so. If you like mountain, fresh air, good food, warm, welcoming people this is the place for you. Amazing landscapes and trails are here and in the surroundings. You can spend weeks here and still leave unexplored places behind. It's not the first nor the last time we were here :))

If you are a good at skiing, you will see all the ski slopes...

If you are a good at skiing, you will see all the ski slopes in one day as there are not too many, at most you need 2 days skiing there. The are very few distractions or restaurants working in the evening

Poiana Brasov is excellent for a vacation in the mountains.

Poiana Brasov is excellent for a vacation in the mountains. Two and half hours drive from Bucharest through the mountains, it offers plenty of things to do, from great skiing, mountain hiking, horse riding, snow playing, partying and many others. You find good restaurants mainly with traditional romanian food. Poiana Brasov is also close to the city of Brasov which is a hidden gem of Romania, and a must visit for any traveler. And also close to Rasnov Castle (20 min drive), or Bran Castle (35 min drive, better known as Dracula's Castle).

We only spent one night with a day skiing which was much too...

We only spent one night with a day skiing which was much too short. I would recommend 3 nights. The place has quite a bit to offer in terms of restaurants. We were very agreeably surprised by the quality and variety of the slopes.

A cute town with mainly hotels and restaurants that operates as a ski destination in winter but for us in Autumn provided a beautiful experience hiking in it's woods as the leaves change colors. There in one cable car operating (Kenzel) for this season and we took it to Postvaru peak and then hiked down to Brashov through Tampa peak (where you can see the Brashov "Hollywood" sign from behind before descending to the old city for dinner (from the cable car in the morning at 9 AM it was already 17 PM when we got to Brashov). The one downside in my opinion is the selection of restaurants in Poiana which is poorer that in the Brashov old city area (as could be expected) and for a touristy experience it's nice for a night, but if you have a car you should definitely descend for dinner in my opinion.

Hotel is located in Poiana Brasov. Room was clean but overall the facility, the furniture, the carpet etc. is stuck in the 80s and requires a major overhaul to stand a 4 star rating. There's an onsite restaurant as there's no much at a walking distance in the area, although the food offer is limited. The included breakfast was ok but not outstanding. The bathroom was clean but a much needed upgrade to modern standards is absolutely necessary.

I’m rarely impressed by hotels in Romania when it comes to customer service but this time I’m more that that, I’m overwhelmed. Literally this hotel has the whole package, customer service , comfort, coziness, great breakfast, SPA and location / view . In my next trip to Poiana Brașov I will choose Elexus for sure and recommend to all my friends.

The studio was so cosy and comfortable. It felt like home away from home. It is well equipped. You can walk to the nearby ski resort whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery. There’s a mini market nearby with all the items you might need. The owners were lovely and answered immediately to any questions we had. I recommend this accommodation 100%.

Conformable and clean rooms, friendly staff, great spa facilities, excellent breakfast, perfect location, ski equipment for rent & transfer to the ski lift, good internet, big TV. The perfect place for a vacation with the family. Tasty Romanian food at the Miorita restaurant. We will return for sure.
