The actual town was a disappointment but visiting the old...
The actual town was a disappointment but visiting the old industrial complex Gammelgården (within walking distance), the Flogbergets mine (12 minutes drive), and the sunset on Väsman lake made up for that.
Ludvika is probably a good base for doing half-day or day trips to other towns.

Very central in Dalarna, Sweden, the summer holliday-place...
Very central in Dalarna, Sweden, the summer holliday-place for many Swedes. Nice restaurants and cosy cafeterias around - also in neighbouring cities. You ar in the middle of lots of Swedish industrial historically significant places. Many of them is World Heritage! rent a car/or come here by your own car in order to travel a bit around Dalarna.

The hotel is very close to the train station, 5 minutes on foot. The hotel is in the town center and there are several restaurants a few minutes away. There is also a parking space nearby. The breakfast buffet was very good. I liked the decoration, it was cozy and tasteful.

The hotel was very cozy and cute, very nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. Service during the booking and at the hotel was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and of a high quality.

Beautiful and calm location overlooking a lake, freshly refurbished rooms, contactless check-in (key box), easy stop on your northbound trip, close enough (by car) to Ludvika's restaurants

Lovely little hotel, very centrally located in town. Great breakfast. Comfortable rooms, well appointed with everything we needed. Large and very well equipped gym.
