Lovely historic setting. Fantastic location by lake Vättern. Beautiful room. Breakfast was very excellent and so was dinner at the restaurant. The spa that is situated close by was also very good.

We went on a Wednesday when there was an old car meet up. Great buzz in the city. Live band playing and really lovely places to eat and drink outside. Also beautiful walk by the castle and church. Recommend a visit!

The weather wasn't as pleasant as we had hoped, but one...

The weather wasn't as pleasant as we had hoped, but one can't blame Vadstena for that. The castle is well worth a guided visit, and the town is very pleasant for walking, with lake-front paths and many small shops (be careful - they shut at 15.00 on Saturdays).

Vadstena is an amazing place.

Vadstena is an amazing place. Lots of culture buildings, castle and of course the famous church. You can take a swim from any place along the lakefront. Taking a walk is highly recommended. Walk all the way out to the lighthouse. If you get hungry, grab something to eat and sit down in the park. Lovely!

Vadstena is a very charming and beautiful Swedish town.

Vadstena is a very charming and beautiful Swedish town. We really enjoyed our stay. It is very walkable. The castle tour was excellent, as was our visit to the abbey. There are many good places to eat, and everyone we encountered was very friendly.

This was a lovely freestanding house in an agricultural area just 5 minutes from the beautiful town on Vadstena. The house had a well-equipped kitchen and was very comfortable for families with kids with multiple bunk beds. There are many good restaurants in the area. You can bring your own linens and towels or rent them for $10 or 100 swedish kroner per guest. You can clean the place yourself (easy) or pay a cleaning fee. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and the owner lives just down the road and is very helpful.

The hotel seems to be a collection of historic buildings dispersed across the old parts of town. So it’s really a collection of boutique hotels. The one we stayed in had very comfortable rooms. The buffet breakfast in our particular building was truly outstanding attended to by charming staff - lots of variations on a Swedish theme as well as the usual staples. Parking directly outside our building. Very close indeed to the lake shore, the castle and old town.

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful, historic farm house, situated a short walk away from the castle and the city centre of Vadstena. The building has been carefully rebuildt by the owners of this B&B, a very friendly and welcoming couple. In the morning we had also a lovely breakfast in the common kitchen. Really nice hotel for a overnight stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is perfect and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is good, has everything we need. There is also parking and charing in the place. There is also public parking just around. The charing work very smoothly. There are some books and toys for the little one.

Beautiful house, super comfortable and all you could hear was the sound of birds. Very close to beautiful Vadstena, Tåkern and Odeshög Ecopark with wonderful views over Vättern. We loved it.
