A lovely mini-castle just on the Slovenian side of the border, with views over the vineyards of Brda and Collio. This design hotel is a great place to stop for a night or two, to sample the local wines and restaurants. Very cheerful and helpful staff. They also had a locked storage room at the back of the parking area where I could safely store my bicycle. The breakfast at the Bistro was also excellent. The room itself was very clean and comfortable.

    The nature was stunning, and the locals were amiable and calm. The local wine and olive oil were delicious. I suggest you try a Briška Hiša for dinner or late lunch. Just plan your trips ahead, and don't trust Google Maps, as it has led me through some very wrong turns.
