There is beautiful nature all around. This time I had some time left, so I also visited the manor house in Humenne, which I really liked. I only visited the hotel restaurant Alibaba, I did not use public transport, everything is close by. It is a pity that I did not have time to visit the military cemeteries.

Currently, a river railway is under construction and...

Currently, a river railway is under construction and buildings are being built around the hotel. Both events do not contribute to the overall beauty of the city. On the contrary, the city center is fantastic for walking. There are a sufficient number of restaurants and outdoor seating in the city. It is possible to visit the local chateau, calvary and open-air museum. However, to our surprise, everything was closed.

In Humenné there is a beautiful, newly renovated manor house...

In Humenné there is a beautiful, newly renovated manor house with a very nice, historical interior, next to it there is also an open-air museum with wooden houses and a church, on the other side there is a Gothic church. Opposite the manor house there is a pedestrian zone with a park. Not far from the town are the ruins of the castles of Brekov and Jasenov.

We recommend visiting the local castle - a nice tour and also the adjacent open-air museum. There are several picturesque castle ruins and beautiful nature in the area. And we also liked the restaurant and brewery U Medvěda. :-) Many types of beer to taste :-)

Humenné is a great starting point for exploring Vihorlat, Poloniny and other places in eastern Slovakia. From the nearest area, I recommend Jasenovský Castle with a beautiful view and the Snínské Ponds for swimming.

We stayed at the hotel in Humenne for three nights, which we used to take trips to the beautiful nature in the area. The town itself didn't appeal to me, the pedestrian zone is just a street where cars don't drive, but that's fine, where there are cars it's much worse, the drivers brought back memories of the Balkan countries, counting on the right of way at a crossing is a game of life. And so the most impressive place was probably the military cemetery.

Amazingly huge room! I was blown away with how large the room was. Same thing goes for the bathroom, where you actually get a large bath! The view from the window was nice as well. The bed was comfortable, the internet worked well, and the hotel was centrally located. I arrived early and the staff was able to get me a room. They also spoke English. Good breakfast, though a typical Slovak hotel breakfast.

It is a very modern hotel in the center of the city, with very, very friendly staff and a great breakfast—spacious double room with very comfortable bed and bathtub. Parking is free in front of the hotel entrance. Close to the city center, train or bus station.

A nice hotel at a central location, the city centre is a few minutes walk. Parking available in front of the hotel. The staff was really friendly. The room was renovated, the bed was comfy. The restaurant was ok. There is a fitness centre available.
