The breakfast was exceptional! It was varied, plentiful, beautifully presented on the menu, and nicely arranged on the platters. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were extremely comfortable, and the parking area is spacious with excellent access, right in the heart of the city. The hotel’s location is excellent! A remarkable place, perfect for hosting conferences and professional meetings, in a very picturesque town!

Lublau (Ľubovňa) was, for me, a place of great historical importance, as Ľubovňa Castle is where, in 1412, the kings of Hungary and Poland signed the Treaty of Lublau, whose provisions had significant consequences for the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe. However, after visiting the town of Stará Ľubovňa, Ľubovňa Castle, and the open-air museum located nearby, Lublau became one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen – a remarkable example of how to present the history and cultural heritage of the Carpathian region. The beauty of the landscape, the clean and well-kept streets and houses of Stará Ľubovňa, together with the qualities of its inhabitants – I met many wonderful, educated people who spoke widely spoken international languages – turn Lublau into a truly exceptional tourist destination, a place that first leaves you speechless and then turns you into a storyteller.

A fascinating old historical town.

A fascinating old historical town. Wonderful castle and Skanzen (heritage museum showing how people lived in the area centuries ago). A good centre for exploring the local area. Close to the Polish border. The old centre is up a hill so for less mobile people their own transport will help. The bus station and train station are at the bottom of the hill! Good and cheap local taxis. There are plenty of restaurants.

A location that offers many trips.

A location that offers many trips. Castle with an open-air museum in Stará Łubovna, rafting on the Dunajec River, monastery in Červený kláštor, thermal baths in Vyšné Ružbachy and Vrbov. Visit to the pilgrimage site in Litmanová. I recommend visiting the U Franka chalet in Stará Łubovna. Excellent food with a wide selection of dishes. Very nice environment

Stará Ľubovňa Castle with a rich program, the nearby open-air museum as well as the military exposition of Michal Strenka are worth a visit with or without children. Another interesting place is Viktoríine záhrady with a maze. Traditionally, as with every visit to Ľubovňa, we also visited Salaš u Franka, where they have a wide selection of dishes and especially perfect halúšky :-)

The hotel had prepared materials that were very useful, a great map. I also recommend Victoria's gardens and the maze, I was there for a music festival with a great atmosphere, the entrance to the gardens was included in the price of the festival. Thanks to that I visited this city, but next time I will definitely stay longer, because there is so much to see in this region. And I will happily stay in this hotel again.

This city is the hometown of my mother, who has her siblings...

This city is the hometown of my mother, who has her siblings here, and therefore I have many cousins. We are from the Czech Republic and the journey here by car takes about 8 hours, so we don't go here that often. This time the reason for the visit was my uncle's funeral. I will hope that the next visit will take place under more pleasant circumstances.
