I'd visit mainly if you're interested in 20th century...

I'd visit mainly if you're interested in 20th century military history. There's a lot to see regarding the battle of the Dukla Pass and Svidník is the perfect town to stay in for just that.

Svidník offers the opportunity to visit the Military Museum...

Svidník offers the opportunity to visit the Military Museum + Memorial, or the Open-Air Museum, they have the beautiful Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, but to visit other attractions such as the Valley of Death or the Dukla viewpoint, it is more appropriate to visit these places by car, as bus transport is very limited.

Aquaruthenia - great pools and slides, the only caveat - the outdoor pools are cold. I recommend minigolf, open-air museum, military history museum. I do not recommend bowling - broken balls, the skittles were constantly tangled and the balls got stuck in the back, we waited 10 minutes for the staff to solve it. We had a great meal at Vermex Lokal and the lunch menu at Stavbet.

They have a nice swimming pool in Svidník, although the water was a bit murky that year and there are some insects. There is also a beautiful forest park nearby and a lot of places for trips with the family. We went to eat at the Hotel Slavia because we had a dog with us. It's not really possible to go anywhere else with a dog.... The traffic is great, there isn't a single traffic light, the traffic was smooth.

Svidník is a city in the center of the locality with a very...

Svidník is a city in the center of the locality with a very interesting history. I recommend visiting the open-air museum and not forgetting the wooden churches in the area. One of the best is Bodružal - if you visit there, don't forget to contact the church lady and ask for an explanation. It's worth it.

Great starting point for hiking. Near the Dukla monument.

Great starting point for hiking. Near the Dukla monument. Near the border with Poland. Nearby open-air museums, castles, wooden churches - architecture. Lots of activities. I recommend visiting. I will definitely come back.
