New property, a proper oasis in the desert. It gives you vibes of a luxurious experience at really affordable price (for what it offers). We chose tent for the experience and it was great: comfortable beds, warm at night, very quiet. The long quad bike ride is an absolute must! Treat yourself and enjoy the surrounding landscape… breathtaking, going through dunes, bushes and down to the beach It was my birthday and the staff sang for me around the bomfire… it was superwelcoming and nice. Food is very good!

We had a great stay and wished we could spend more time there. The staff were great and the place is really well kept and clean. There was a lovely pool and it was on the beach. The a/c worked and the food was great. Highly recommend.

This new camp is located in the middle of the dunes, near...

This new camp is located in the middle of the dunes, near the former Lompoul desert site (mined for zircon). We even found this site more beautiful than the desert we visited a few years ago.

Better than the desert...

Better than the desert... We were disappointed by the relocation of the camp that had been recommended to us, from the now-developed desert to this new bush area. But in the end, this new site offers all the advantages of a near-desert, with dunes stretching as far as the eye can see, enhanced by acacia trees.

We booked a room, but upon arrival, there were no rooms...

We booked a room, but upon arrival, there were no rooms available. We were given a tent with a bathroom but no water. There were drafts coming from all sides... We were very disappointed with our night and will certainly not be returning. The place is green and pleasant, but it's all about the money.

I highly recommend going there and spending a day there.

I highly recommend going there and spending a day there. Arrive early afternoon, take a camel ride or a vehicle, and watch the sunset over the dunes—it's truly spectacular. The staff will pick you up and take you back to the parking lot, which you'll pay separately for 1,000 CFA when you leave.

We went into the desert on our own in the morning.

We went into the desert on our own in the morning. It's magnificent. There are establishments in the desert that can accommodate guests. It's superb. Africa Roots Desert does indeed exist in the desert, but we were taken somewhere else.
