Khanom is more suitable for tourists than Sichon beach which is very small. Sichon town is great. Khanom is very quiet.
Khanom is very quiet. Suitable only for people that don t want nightlife. Very few independent restaurants to eat in khanom apart from their resort. We stopped here on our return journey home to Bangkok airport. The nicest coastal road for driving for scenery between khanom and sichon. Pick a hotel around the south of the bay for less rubbish on the beach. Having an elevated view is lovely for dining experience. The beaches could be lovely but sadly all the beaches had too much rubbish and plastic. I’ve never seen it so bad in Thailand. That’s probably why it isn’t really touristy here. If you love beaches, and want to see how Samui was 50 years ago, as far as beaches go, that's the place. No construction (yet), very spaced, green mountains all around (with no houses on them), etc. and very close to Samui and Phangan (30 minutes drive from Donsak Pier)Guest review byMichalThailand - 10

They offer breakfast. They have one of the cleanest beaches in Khanom, They send someone to clean it every morning. The waves, when i was there in late January, can be fairly intimidating. If you're a good, strong swimmer, there will be days you can swim. The hotel has a well stocked gym. There is a restaurant across from it. The hotel is at the end of a dead-end street, so it is very quiet in the area. If you're staying in Khanom, rent a scooter.Guest review byJonathanCanada

We came for 3 nights and wish we had longer. The shacks at Margarita Beach are simple, comfortable, but also air-conned. The food is exceptional! Outside of the Thai food staples, the Pad Krapow Tacos were a fave! The local staff and owners, Dan and Nina, were very friendly and inclusive.
