FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighbourhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the centre of town, Booking.com will help you explore all Bangkok has to offer.

My first time in Thailand and overwhelmed at first - sights, sounds, traffic and the heat. Bangkok is a mixture of the old and new with fascinating temples, palaces and neighbourhoods. Wat Arun simply stunning. Came away with a great impression of the Thai people - polite, helpful and patient with visitors. Treat their country and traditions with respect and you will have a wonderful time.. The food is exceptional and is available everywhere with marked differences in price between street vendors, food halls and restaurants (the later usually have aircon). Ride the river ferries, use Bolt cabs and haggle over a ride in a tuk-tuk for a great experience. The Mahanakhon Skyscraper at sunset is not cheap but an incredible experience. Really recommend Jack's Bar, by the river, in the Saphan neighbourhood.

A bustling, interesting city with great things to do but be warned it can take forever to travel just a few miles as the traffic is horrendous. We used as a few nights stopover en-route to Phuket. Quite a contrast.

Bangkok is very busy and bustling. We enjoyed our tour of the temples, flower market and trips in the tuk Tuk. We also enjoyed the boat trip along the river. Unfortunately we were unable to see the Grand Palace as the Queen Mother had passed away and they closed it.

The center is not really beautiful, besides the area along the river. Many construction-ruines on the way from the airport to the city. Heavy traffic, especially when it's raining. The existing highrises are not really significant from an architectural point of view.

It was an experience to say the least.

It was an experience to say the least. Not sure I was quite ready, thinking about how people that travel to Thailand say it’s such a relaxing place and whatnot, that is true if you stay at beach resorts but Bangkok is way different! Amazing food, felt really safe even just walking alone thru strange streets and people are generally really nice! Some will try and hustle you but just stand your ground! If you go thru red-light district as a male, just be aware you will be touched and pulled into every single place (I didn’t have an issue as a woman, but saw enough of them being pulled in lol). Would recommend trying out night markets for food but just be aware of the smells, some are definitely not pleasant! Also, if you want “real” luxury goods, definitely check out MBK Center. Great food courts in most malls too! Food there is really cheap too, so you get to try as much as you want! Would 100% recommend to drink as much fresh coconut water as you can, best thing ever! Definitely don’t forget to check out a couple temples and landmarks, specially coming from the US, we don’t have anything like that, so really worth it! If you don’t mind the chaos and want a full experience, check out Chinatown and the surrounding areas. For a more relaxed day, you can do day trips to floating markets and train markets, as well as the Ancient City. Would have definitely spent more time at the beach if I could and maybe an Elephant sanctuary vs tourist attractions where they don’t live in good conditions.

Location is perfect. If you are traveling to bangkok for shopping, hotel location is perfect because pratunam market and indra square is walking distance. Have so many dining options. A 7-11 is next to the hotel. The road might get crowded and traffic in busy hours. Hotel had late check out options and airport taxi services. Airport taxi was very punctual and the driver was very friendly. Late check out charge was reasonable. Briefly hotel is worthy for the money paid.

Came early but they let me check in, I had an issue with my room but thanks to Eva the front office manager for her kindness and fast response, and offered me a premium room experience (upgrade), recommended the hotel to stay at the middle of bangkok attractions, a way from noisy streets, and meters to Phloen Chit BRS station.

Well run small boutique hotel in riverside Bangkok. Convenient for attending meetings at some of the much larger, pricier hotels in Bang Rak area. Excellent staff and good food options available. Easy to get to and from Don Muang airport via expressway.
