One of the most beautiful boutique hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Marble tiles throughout, gorgeously appointed rooms, magnificent double floor to ceiling windows exposing one of the most startling mountain views we’ve ever come across. Absolutely spotless rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, good rain shower, heavy drapes to keep out strong sunlight, good AC. Really clean swimming pool and lounge area, good small gym for cardio and dumbbells up to 15kg and barbell with light plates. There’s a restaurant roof bar with top class food and friendly staff, great breakfast and meals throughout the day, a covered area for when the intense rains come. But if this isn’t enough it’s the people who work here make THE VIEW what it is. Shawn and his team are a caring and professional group of people that go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They literally gave us food from their own table to taste and try- Chinese sausage and fresh mango just in season. We will never forget that beautiful view over paddy fields what seemed liked lavandar fields. The gardens were under constant work by a very hard working guy who seemed to be there all day. There is ample free parking and a 24 hour front desk. And there were two karaoke pods out the back of the hotel!- lovely fish pond, everything under scrupulous attention to detail with various people speaking various languages. A triumph of hotelerism!

Mr. Nung and his wife(house owners) are perfectionists. The house is so clean as other reviewed. Their Bathroom and shower facility is the one of most cleanest condition ever I have used in Thailand. Plus they provide me whole house for myself to ensure tranquility so no other guest will bother me although they got extra room. This house is perfect for a group or family with two bed rooms and living room(plus little kitchen) if you want to get most value out of this lodging. The location is fantastic since it is within walking distance of Chiangdao bus station and downtown. Mr. Nung has provided a bike so that I can go around freely. They provide a breakfast whichever you wants every morning. He comes before the night falls to turn on all the light so that I feel like home plus walk safely from entrance to your bedroom. Surrounding around his lodging, it's magnificent .Buffalos are welcoming you and so peaceful to watch them and beautiful mountain you can gaze all day. Thank you so much for making me feel at home. 🙏

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

Not touristic at all, and the local people not friendly. Not recommend for solo travelers especially women. The treat very primitive. No way to travel without scooter. There aren't taxi or bicycle available. The nature around nice, also the caves. The mountain at night stunning. The hot spring nice but not a big deal.. Nest 2 restaurant very recommended. There is a realy nice Thursday market between 5-8 pm Don't take more than 3 days There and don't expect to nice hospitality..

So if you'd like to get off the beaten track somewhat the Chiang Dao, the 1 hour bus ride north of Chiang Mai might be just the ticket. Nestled next to soaring, cloud-wreathed peaks, the pace of life slows down, there's interesting caves to explore, a riverside hot spring and Tuesday covered market.

We ended up staying 3 nights from the original 2 nights. There are a lot to see and explore. We didn't even go to the cave. There is a hot spring not far from town but the smell is too strong for me. Another one is Pong Arng hot springs, part of the Pha Daeng National Park, some 30km out from the bus station. Tickets are 100 baht for foreigners adults, 20 baht for Thai nationals which also admit you to the Sri Sangwan Waterfall some 5-6 km from there. The longan plantations as far as eyes can see, and the mountains view as the sun sets are just beautiful. You may get "lost" in some picturesque cul-de-sac temples or villages which you will never regret!

Simple, good, peaceful, facilities and breakfast were very basic, close to destinations of elephants and spring waters. The village had a nice market. Many insects and mosquitoes.Staff was helpful and polite.

Manus and his wife are the most welcoming and amazing hosts you can wish for. The location of the house is outside Chiang Dao with a beautiful view of Doi Chiang Dao and the jungle. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is served on your own terrace on your own requested time. Manus helped us to get around, to rent scooters, organized a guide for hiking, showed us local restaurants and made our stay unforgettable with his true local suggestions to visit in the area. The view from our room was wonderful and the hotel has two small pools with nice views and is situated in a really beautiful garden. Chiang Dao is nice to visit if you want to experience beautiful nature. Our visit to the waterfall was the highlight of our whole stay.

Exceptional view of Doi Chiang Dao. Staff were friendly and will always try their best to meet our requests. We were able to have mookata just outside our tent which was lovely. Breakfast in the morning was great too.
