Everything was great! From the moment you arrive, the owner will explain the best places to visit. I have met the whole family and they are really lovely. He took the time to take me to the Sky Temple and National Park, allowing me to do it on my own time. And then they took me to the train station to continue my trip. The hotel, the rooms and the location are fantastic. Definitely recommend and would of course stay here again if I return to Lampang. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart 🧝🏻‍♀️🙏🏻🪷💜✨️🪻

We originally came to Lampang for 4 days, but we like it here so much, that we extended our stay. 😊 Hug Lampang Hotel is great: - staff is kind and helpful, they do speak some basic English. - rooms are big and bright and are cleaned everyday (daily fresh towels, toilet paper and bottled water), - balcony is a nice addition if you have to dry some synthetic clothes, which are not allowed to go into the dryer (I recommend some drying strings for other customers - I always have mine on me when i travel). - their free bicycles for customers are awesome, we used them almost everyday (it is easy to get around the city, just remember to drive on the left side of the road) - the road noise stops in the evening at around 10 PM and is very quiet till 7 or 8 AM, so you can get a good night's sleep.

Lamphun is a small town with friendly, smiling people everywhere. If I visit Thailand again, I’d love to come back and stay longer. Walking around the town, you can see many temples and experience the local charm.

If you want authentic Thailand then Lampang is the place...

If you want authentic Thailand then Lampang is the place visit. It is away from the tourist hotspots the people are coming and friendly and always have a smile for you. I found this cafe called Glint that is run by a lovely young couple can I highly recommend it food is excellent and the prices are amazing. Lots of temples local flora and fauna and most of all they don’t overcharge all in all its a lovely town.

I found a lot of the locals to be quite stand offish with white people. It was the only town we visited that felt like that in all of northern thailand. for that reason, I would not come back to Lampang.

We weren't there long but it's a beautiful walking town.

We weren't there long but it's a beautiful walking town. Not a lot to do although I hear they have a very good night market but it is just on the weekends so plan your stay around it. Otherwise it's a quiet town with not too much to do except relax.

Lampang is a charming town with just enough to do for a few...

Lampang is a charming town with just enough to do for a few days to feel both relaxing and fulfilling. The river, historic bridges, wats, old town, architecture, and food were all draws. Lots of murals and symbols (chickens, horses), a very quiet pace, and friendly people. The things to see are very accessible on foot, but a unique way to see the city is to hire a horse carriage for an hour (about 500 baht). Some of the cafes and restaurants near the river are great quality and have super atmosphere. It is a city to stroll around and explore, enjoying the relaxed pace and sights. It's especially good for a getaway from busy Chiang Mai for a weekend.

Visitors should know that there are 2 Hop Inn hotels in Lampong and close together. 1 is near the city hospital and the other is near the bus station. If you call the number they provide you get a central dispatcher somewhere unknown and you have to know which hotel you made your reservation at. So how would you know? Attractions not far away are river front bar and restaurants The central festival mall is close by. Bolt and Grab are available

Very friendly English speaking owner, who gives you a lot of touristic information. He also brought me to the bus station. The hotel.has a great terrace, drinks in the fridge outside at good pricen Lampang is really worth a visit with beautiful temples and then you must stay here.

perfect for the 1 night stay I had in Lampang. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Breakfast provided was good. The price was amazing. 10 minute walk from the train station and 5 minute to Big C shopping mall. Plenty of good places to eat nearby and coffee shops.

If you have a car it's easy access to the city and sights. The hotel served a good breakfast. There is a bakery next door. Plenty of parking. Rooms were a good size though starting to get a bit tired.
