We had a wonderful time at 8IK88 Resort. The place is beautifully serene, with breathtaking views that make you want to stay forever. The hotel is really beautiful. The view from the rooms is woooow. The rooms are really nice. The towels are changed daily and you get separate pool/beach towels. The pool is nice, you can also order food & drinks at the pool. The staff was VERY nice!!!

I stayed here 1 night before catching the speedboat at Phuket Harbour. I really recommend if you are doing the same. Maybe would of liked to stay an extra night or two to treat myself ;)

It's great if you want to be away from everyone and just...

It's great if you want to be away from everyone and just spend the majority of your time at a resort. It is 30-40 minutes from any main attractions any direction you go. Ideal for a peaceful and relaxing trip, but taxi fares and resort fares are a lot more expensive due to the isolation and added up rather quickly.

Ao Por Bay is far from other places but really quiet and...

Ao Por Bay is far from other places but really quiet and peaceful. Depending on the nature of the trip you can take a call if you want to centrally locate yourself or stay here. The only con is for all tours they dont pick you up from Ao Por and you need to travel to some other beach like Kamala or Karon beach to go for tours. If you are not going for tours then this place makes sense. Additionally you can also try Nai Yang beach as well for a quiet place away from touristy places.
