he room was quite comfortable for a stay of three people. The iron and refrigerator are located outside the room and are shared. The reception staff were polite and helpful, allowed us to store our luggage until late at night. The apartment is in the same building with Firdavsi Hotel. When I arrived, I turned on my cell phone and it said, welcome to the Russian Federation. My T-mobile service did not work the entire time I was visiting. I downloaded a google map. I walked at least ten thousand steps every day. I enjoy the waterfalls, the flowers the monuments and the roses. Not too many people speak English here. I experienced diarrhea twice with squat toilets. The best view of the mountains was after it rained. Am I glad I visited? Yes. Check out the parks.

All the monuments/sightseeings in Dushanbe, except for the new mosque and the Navruz Palace, are located within a distance of about 3 km, so they are easily accessible from each other through parks or the main Rudaki Avenue.

The city is clean, the taxi transport system is efficient and affordable. The City is deliberate on reducing the carbon foot print. Almost all taxis are EVs. The people are very hospitable despite the language barrier. Not many speak English.

I did not expect it to be a beautiful, clean, safe place to...

I did not expect it to be a beautiful, clean, safe place to walk around even at night. Despite the language barrier, people are nice and accommodating trying to help you with direction. I noticed that the drivers are very patient and seldom use their horn and gives priority to pedestrian. Parks and trees are everywhere. Food and stay is affordable.

Very nice hotel in good location within the city with very good breakfast and hotel staff that is very helpful and friendly. The offered free airport shuttle at any time during day and night seems to be rather uncommon in Dushanbe.
