FAQs about hotels in Istanbul

The Best of Asia and Europe

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendour and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.

Take a stroll through the historic centre or the bustling Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.

If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.

Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for your holiday in Istanbul.

First time visiting Istanbul, and it was definitely worth while going. Chaotic city, but loved the vibe! The city is full of history (Santa Sofia, the grand bazar, Topkapi Palace,...) and the mini-cruise on the Bosporus was fun (you can buy the extra drinks on board). The only drawback was the cost of the restaurants, really high by European standards especially compared to the quality of the food and the venues. The accommodation was definitely value for money.

I liked the city historical side but it was very crowded for me and no place to walk comfortably everywhere cars . I was running there for the marathon event . It was a very nice course very well organised I liked the picnic after the run in the park . I did not like that you never know you pay the right price . Some places did not say the price and I always felt I was over payed what I bought . The attraction admission I found it very expensive compère to other big cities price .

Turkey is a MUST SEE.

Turkey is a MUST SEE. The people were always friendly and welcoming. Instanbul was clean and the stray cats and dogs are tagged, vaccinated and spayed and so well treated. It was not uncommon to see little dishes of water or food at the entrance of a store or home. Their history is amazing.

If you are planning to visit the cultural places and for some shopping definitely yes. For relaxation then not because you need to walk a lot and too crowded. The best place to stay is behind Sultanahmet Camii and Topkapi Museum.

All the major sites are very accessible from the tram - get an Istanbulcard. Going to the Hagia Sophia it is necessary to queue first for the ticket and then queue again to get in. We decided to queue for the ticket, then go to the nearby museum before returning later in the day when it was less busy.

i was for 2 days, so i visit the marina and some short trips in Istanbul, but you need 1 month to reach all points of interest. People are warm, kind and very respectful. They help you and guide you every time you ask for it.

Not expensive place right next to Taksim Square. The location is perfect. Don't expect a luxury place, it is adequate to the price. I was many times in Budak and always have a good experience with the staff. Thank you for check in in the middle of the night. Actually it is not a hotel so I always feel like in a private little flat in the center of Istanbul. I never had any problems in Budak.

Is not the first time when I’m in Istanbul and i can say this is the best place, why ..? Is very clean, in room smells good every day, comfortable, the staff is very nice and polite, and around you can find a lot of restaurants with good food and not expensive. I have some bad experience with 5 stars hotels in Istanbul and this one at the moment is the best 👍

I chose the hotel mainly for the location, close to the Taksim bus stop for the airport bus (I was basically transiting through Istanbul). It’s in a grid of streets with plenty of hotels, restaurants and cafes, and right beside Taksim Square itself. The hotel is fine, fairly small, with clean modern rooms and a good lift. Very convenient and straightforward.

I loved this hotel, which is 5 minutes walking distance from Taksim Square. The staff is very polite and helpful. The best part is that it is a family business. Next time I come to Istanbul, I will definitely stay in this hotel with my family. It was very clean and nice. Thank you very much to Mr. Gökhan and Mr. Orhan who helped with everything.
