The hotel is located on the uphill of old Mardin city in a quiet place with the magnificent scenery of Mesopotamia plains. Be prepared to climb around 20minutes to the main street for sightseeing, restaurants, shops and caffes. The room was nice and it had everything I needed. The bed comfortable - had a very good sleep. The breakfast was delicious and is served inside or on the terrace with the fantastic view. The staff was really helpful, friendly and made sure that everything is good with our stay. The host has a great knowledge about the city and surrounding area and gave the advices what to see and not to missed. Strongly recommended!

Our one-night stay at this boutique hotel was unforgettable. The warm, attentive host made us feel instantly at home, always eager to please and quick to assist. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The enchanting terrace views were mesmerizing, especially at sunset and sunrise. The peaceful setting, close to town yet quiet, wayts perfect. Breakfast included typical local specialities cold and warm. The internet was fast. The intimate vibe made it easy to connect with other guests. A true gem.

We stayed for three nights in a beautiful suite room at Mirsoum Han and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The employees (Davud & Diyar) always welcomed us with a smile. With their kind, friendly & always solution-oriented attitude they really made us feel very welcome. Smallest suggestions for improvement were implemented literally the next day. Before I move on to the tasteful rooms I have to mention the breakfast. We have been on the road for 2 weeks and the breakfast here has by far been the most amazing! Medina, the lady in the kitchen, went above and beyond to provide us with a different amazing breakfast every morning. She even made special vitamin drinks for me, because she cared for my pregnancy. I would come back here anytime just for the breakfast! The stone rooms with high arched ceilings are as beautiful & spacious as shown on the pictures. We had a fire place (Davud helped us set it up every night), an amazing copper bath tub, multiple cozy sitting areas beautifully decorated and a very big modern bathroom. We loved drinking the nespresso coffee provided and just enjoying the beauty of the room. Also the lighting in the room is very romantic. You can see in every corner of the hotel, that it is an acclaimed architect’s work. Also, the sitting area outside has a beautiful view of Mesopotamia. We would warmly recommend staying in this high quality hotel and love to come back.

Dilber and Mahmut were very attentive and had terrific suggestions for sightseeing and dinner. We would recommend to book a dinner at the hotel as it comes with an individualised menu of the local cuisine, which was very delicious. Best is the attention to detail. Everything .is locally sourced and at the highest quality. The complimentary breakfast is out of this world. We had the pleasure speaking to one of the hotel's owners at multiple occasions, explaining us the amazing history of the hotel, the region and its produce, making us appreciate our stay even more. A highlight was also the donkey transporting our luggage up the hill to the hotel and back. Finally, we have to compliment on the view from the roof top terrace. Ideal for taking pictures of the sunset or enjoying a cup of turkish tea.

The old town is quite charming. The highlight for us were the ancient churches so beautifully maintained/restored and that Arabs, Kurds and the very small Christian minority live together harmoniously. Everyone seemed so gracious and kind.

A beautiful town, completely different from the Turkiye known by those who visit the coast. Kurdish, not Turkish, with Christian buildings going back to the fourth century and a culture that encompasses many religions and languages. A good base for a day trip (with guide) to Midyat and other local sites. Plenty of restaurants, serving wide variety of foods. Wine shops, selling local wines, but no bars in the old town. Really wish we had read more before going. Pictures show the beautiful pale-coloured buildings climbing up the hillside but not the fact that the 'roads' are more often steps. Wonderful small narrow streets, a copper bazaar where people were at work, incredible churches, mosques and madrasas - but you need to have good hips and knees! An excellent Hamam, open for men mornings and evenings, for women in the afternoons. For anyone interested in early Christianity, in cultural melting pots, or in somewhere unlike most tourist towns, Mardin and Midyat, and the necropolis at Dara, the area is exceptional. Allow about four days and bring sensible shoes. Good and cheap bus service from the airport, no need to use taxis.

A wonderful stay where staff go above and beyond with their service and cleanliness. The rooms are spotless, the location is in a great spot, in Old Mardin with touristic spots nearby. The staff will stop at nothing to ensure your stay at Mardin is everything you wanted. The only thing I’d pick on is the amount of stairs taken to get there BUT this is in no way the hotels fault as Mardin has stairs everywhere to get to anywhere! Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be coming back!

Just a few steps above the Old Post Office, our room in this mansion hotel was large and well-decorated. All rooms open out to a terrace with a panoramic view of the city and Mardin plain. If it arrives in time, a good breakfast is available in the dining area above all the rooms. The area below the post office is a central minibus stop.
