What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

I loved everything. From their helpful and courteous staff to location (proximity to everything) to the food...all perfect. Also they were kind enough to allow me some extra hours as I had an evening flight. I will surely book a stay if I ever go back to Zanzibar and want to stay in Stone town.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and it was perfect! The location is in the centre of town, and the rooftop gives you a wonderful view of the city. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful, really tasty! We stayed in a room with and without a balcony. Both were great, especially given the price, but the one with the balcony was especially lovely and very spacious. We can not recommend this place enough!
