Our stay at 64 Zenj House was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we checked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The rooms were spotless. The breakfast options were delicious and the perfect way to start the day after exploring. The staff also provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, making our experience in Zanzibar even better. Staying here feels like enjoying five-star luxury, but at a much more affordable price. We highly recommend 64 Zenj House to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in Zanzibar!

The rooms are stunning- spacious and beautiful design. The bed was very comfortable too. The bathtub in the room was a very nice touch. The staff were amazing, always polite and friendly. The restaurant could also accommodate my gluten-free diet for breakfast. This was one of our best hotel experiences ever.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Tembo is such a beautiful hotel with welcoming staff and clean areas. The rooms were huge, well ventilated and had a lot of mirrors because why not? The bathroom was very clean which was relaxing because we had been flying for long and needed a nice bath. The hotel also has a nice proximity to the airport and other places we wanted to visit in stone town and I definitely recommend it.
