the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen on Zanzibar and I visited the whole island, wonderful climate for a few days max. it is worth coming for two nights to feel the wild and boutique atmosphere of the place. you can take beautiful pictures, spend time peacefully and pleasantly among nature and wild animals.

The property is idyllic, the staff are great and there is plenty to do- free bikes, paddle boards, sunset yoga… Shaib made the best mojitos 🍹and it is a short walk to Salaam cafe to swim with turtles

Very cool palm huts with bathroom and terrace to enjoy the sea view. Lovely garden, direct access to small but lovely beach all you need for perfect holiday! The staff is very attentive and helpful, the breakfast is delicious but also you can order very tasty local food. Sandrine helped us to organize transfer and to rent scooter. Merci!

*A Peaceful Paradise with Purpose* Palmera Zanzibar is a serene oasis just outside a charming village. I loved the peaceful garden, the spotless infinity pool, and the magical ocean views—especially at sunset. The food was creative, delicious, and all homemade (including fresh breads and cakes!). My room was beautifully decorated, with a comfy bed, sea view, and solar-powered AC—much appreciated in the heat! What makes Palmera truly special is its mission: it’s part of the More Than A Drop Hospitality College, training underprivileged girls for careers in hospitality. The staff and students were incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel safe and welcome. Highly recommended—for both the experience and the amazing cause behind it.

Everything this place is a hidden gem, the place is super nice, clean and the food is extraordinary. You will definitely be back for chef aly, and the staff was amazing, fatma was great great help. This place is one of the best accommodation I have had and even it is better than the photos in booking.com. It’s a real paradise very clean very well decorated very calm and peaceful just in front of the beach and you can see sunrise from your bed. On top of everything is the staff, they are super nice, kind and smiley that makes you feel very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and varied, they have best banana pancakes the only thing can be better than is the coffee. The restaurant has a good chef and they can prepare you the food as you want even if it is not in the menu. There are also other restaurants and hotels around for food in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place you will enjoy your time there.

Mtende is located in an area completely immersed in nature. There's a small village, a few seaside lodges and restaurants, and a beautiful beach that's heavily influenced by the tides, offering a truly unique landscape. It's recommended for those who want to get away from the more touristy areas for a few days.

It's ridiculous to call Mtende a city!

It's ridiculous to call Mtende a city! It's a tiny African village, where locals rarely see tourists except when they drive past. It's perhaps the only place on the entire island of Unguja where you can fully enjoy the African exotica and immerse yourself in a world still unspoiled by the inexorable advance of the modern tourism industry.
