We enjoyed our first stay so much that we decided to book it again. The hotel has a great location. Very central yet not in the middle of tourism. The rooms are nicely furnished, good wifi and the bathrooms have hot water. Breakfast varies a bit each day with fresh juice, fruits, egg and specialties from Zanzibar. We would like to emphasize again how attentive, warm and helpful Kinana and his team are. We are looking forward to come again.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

The highlight of our stay was the island’s natural beauty. The food was also a major standout. Fresh seafood, flavorful local dishes, and a variety of international options were all beautifully prepared. Every meal felt like a celebration of the region’s rich culinary heritage. Bawe Island is a peaceful paradise that offers a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty. We are a family of 6. After notifying reservations of our arrival time, we were welcomed at 2am with smiling staff. Ismail at reception and the porters were so friendly at that hour! Sameer was our waiter and he was incredible. The guest relations manager is friendly and informative at Breakfast time, advising guests of tour options. Rooms are spacious with newly renovated bathrooms. The location was perfect with a beautiful view of the hustling harbour at breakfast. All the staff were friendly from housekeeping, the breakfast staff to the chef, they were amazing. Enjoyed pizza and ice-cream on the rooftop after sunset. We then moved on to a resort on the island, and my kids immediately said that the staff can't compare to Mizingani's friendly staff. Thank you for the beautiful memories. Asante sana
