What can we say about Mahi Mahi? We will never forget the four beautiful days and nights we spent there. Perfect, peaceful location, away from the crowds. Near the village, where you can go around exploring on foot (do it & support the local community!!) Stunning view of the ocean, delicious food, abundant breakfast and very good choices for lunch or dinner - prices of the restaurant more expensive than what you find in local restaurants nearby but still quite affordable. All of the dishes delicious - congratulations to the chef, who btw took the time to come and meet us :) I tried the "chef's special" everyday during breakfast :). Clean, spacious rooms, you wake up and sleep hearing the sound of the sea. Now THAT is a memory to hold on to during winter. Amazing service - thank you Sifa, Skola (special thanks for the on-the-go Swahili lessons to my wife) Justin, Ilias, and I'm SO sorry I forget the names of all the other nice people that made our stay so wonderful, we thank you all! To the owners: keep it real, thank you for everything. We have now moved to another place of the island and can feel the difference in quality! We hope to see you again soon 🤗🤗 Achilles & Vanessa

We had an amazing stay, it's a truly boutique complex where you can find anything what is needed for a perfect leisure vacation. The personel is amazing and really helpful, big shout out to all restaurant team as well as Joanna and Martin. Food quality is great and for sure you will not be hungry and bored with the selection as it usually happens with FB or All Inclusive stays. Everything is as on the pictures so if you are looking for a paradise stay that's the good address.

The staff are all really welcoming and friendly, especially Anna (manager) and Razaman (bar staff). Razaman taught us how to play Boa, an African board game which was great fun! The bungalows are separated from one another, there are only 6 separate bungalows and 4 two story ones behind so it is a nice small and quiet place to be. The bungalow has a private balcony where you have your breakfast and can have lunch and dinner there too if you wish. The bungalows are comfortable, clean and spacious enough. There is a modern, effective fan in the room which is sufficient (we prefer fans over a/c anyways). The shower was powerful. There is a bowl of water to dip your feet in before eating the bungalow to prevent sand getting everywhere. You are provided with beach towels as well as shower and hand towels. The cleaners come into the room 2x a day and make cute bed decorations and spray the room with a lovely scent! All the cleaners are friendly and do such a great job. The bungalow looks out onto the hotels patch of beach where there are loungers, plants, coconut trees and the beach bar for drinks and food. Just in front of that is the public part of the beach. It was great how the front of the hotel was kept quite natural with the coconut trees, plants and sand as unfortunately some of the hotels were built on massive concrete foundations…. There are also loungers by the pool. The pool is kept clean and has a platform you can lounge on and a small (but enough) space to swim in. The beach is kept clean (Jambiani village have a Saturday beach clean up that you can volunteer with), and the sea is lovely and warm. The food is good here, there are plenty of other hotels and beach huts in Jambinai and the next village up, Paje, so there is easy access to plenty of variety. Severa change their menu daily too. On Saturdays they host entertainment and a set menu, very romantic and cute set up by the pool.

This accommodation was just fabulous. Such a perfect location , our room (Nutmeg) was right on the beach.It was so lovely falling asleep listening to the waves lapping ,and waking up to the beautiful sunrise . And The view from our balcony was just fantastic . There is a restaurant on site ,and bars and restaurants along the beach . Breakfast was delicious, so much choice , ( I particularly enjoyed the local porridge) and the staff were so attentive. You were really made to feel part of the family by everyone . The owners Beth and Dullah were great , so hospitable , always going above and beyond. They have recently taken over The Mango Tree House and made lots of improvements, and their future plans sound so exciting . We had stayed at a few other lovely accommodations around Zanzibar but this was my favourite by far, and I can’t wait to return. Thank you all for such a wonderful stay .
