Athens is a pleasant, quiet town on the Hudson with a nice boutique hotel and a few restaurants; if you want a lot of shopping and dining choices, it's just a few minutes away from Hudson. I liked staying in the quieter (and less "curated") town. It's close to Olana and the Thomas Cole house. We had a relaxing weekend at Stewart House.Guest review byNancyUnited States
