We attend the Cuero Turkey Fest with our Daugther's family, who own a home in Cuero, the grandchildren really enjoy the Fest. We went to Jaliscos Restuante and the food and service were Great! Cuero is small city, as we live in Austin TX, the folks are very friendly, including the Chief of Police. Note; it was easy getting around the city, as it provided sighs that gave good directions. I enjoy the history of the town and the beautiful architecture of the buildings, especially the DeWitt County Courthouse. Cuero also has several museums and antique shops all in walking distance with nice little eateries tucked between. The city park is an amazing attraction with ducks to feed, fishing off the pier or shore, picnicing pagodas with handy grills adjacent. The golf course is just across the wzy from that beautiful serene lake. There is a swimming pool with $2.⁰⁰ admission, a splash pad, and large covered area to play basketball. There are just so many options fòr things to do here! Enjoy

Cuero is not a big town, but it has a lot of history and character. Try to see some of the museums in town, particularly the Chisum Trail museum and the Pharmacy museum, both in the downtown area. There are others as well, but we liked these two best. You can see all the museums in a day since they are all small, but check days and hours and plan ahead. They are not all open every day.
