We were there on a Monday evening and Tuesday evening in early October. Since it is right in the crossroads of so many of the highways/routes used for the leaf peeping season, we thought it would be a great stop. Absolutely NOT! The area was nice. Lots of trails nearby. We were looking for a get away with a planned drive up MT Washington. After disappointing breakfast found a great place called Pollys pancake house. Ended up going to Littleton for meals.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0
There is a absolutely nothing there.
There is a absolutely nothing there. One over priced grocery store, an ice cream stand, a small coffee shop that closes at 3pm. There is a fairly nice park with a play area for kids. This is the village of Franconia I'm speaking of. For hikers the area is ok I guess but nothing else to do, especially with kids. I didn't see any of the 2 or 3 eating places open on Saturday or Sunday. Not sure they're still in business. If you like the middle of nowhere this is it.Guest review byPerryUnited States
