For being a small town it has a nice variety of restaurants...
For being a small town it has a nice variety of restaurants and bars! Owners, employees and patrons are quite friendly! I truly enjoyed Mity Mites Bar, Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant and Los Jarritos Mexican Restaurant!

Exact definition of Small Town Texas. Great restaurants and shopping, everyone is so friendly. It was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Houston without going to far. We stayed at the Budget Inn which is a family owned motel, owners are the sweetest people and went above and beyond to make sure we were completely comfortable.

As the name implies the hotel rates were quite reasonable. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The amenities were slim as expected but sufficient. There were soap and shampoo dispensers which provided adequate quantities of soap without wastefulness of little bars of soap and mini-shampoo bottles. All-in-all a good place to stay.

The breakfast was tasty. There was a good variety and amounts of food items offered. The staff member providing the breakfast services was friendly and efficient. The ability to eat at the hotel (especially in a small town) before leaving for the day was really convenient!
