The town is compact with tons of food and shopping. Easily walkable but there are quiet roads surrounding so you can bike to the beach in under 10 minutes. A lovely little town with shopping, great choices of restaurants with very tasty seafood. Can get extremely congested in high season so a September visit was wonderful. Parking can be a little difficult since the paid parking lots and streets fill up early. I’ve always wanted to visit.
I’ve always wanted to visit. It’s a beautiful place, but not very big and if you don’t like the water (excursions for fishing, whale watching, etc). There really isn’t that much to do. Parking is very limited, so try and get a place close to the Main Street, so you can walk to the shops and restaurants. Allison’s restaurant had gluten free options for me. We tried a lobster roll on gluten free bun at the crab shack. We drove by the Bush compound. I would recommend renting a bike to get around.Guest review byRussellUnited States

He is absolutely committed to ensuring his guests have the best experience. The property is of a high standard throughout. We loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch and the complementary bikes made it easy for us to explore Kennebunkport and easily get to the local sandy beach in a couple of minutes. Very family friendly with many families and small children when we visited which did not bother us at all. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices and quality was excellent. Food in the pool bar was average, but staff service made up for this. Lovel, safe very quaint hotel perfectly situated for walks to little town and bike riding around the neighbourhood. The room (in the annex) was spacious and clean with a good view of the stream into the Dock. As long as you can get suitcases up the stairs the annex is fine to stay in. The restaurant in the main building was very busy but they got us a table after a short wait and the service was quick with good menu choices. Quality of the meal was excellent.
