I love Mountain View. I was born and raised here.

I love Mountain View. I was born and raised here. I live in Oregon now and come to visit often. I always drive around to see places i lived. Lots of places to have a nice meal. Close to Moffett Field, San Francisco, and all the famous Tech companies. Down town Mountain View has lots of great places to eat and just walk around.

Mountain View, especially the Castro area is both lively (at night) and mellow on the weekend mornings. Come, kick back & grab a coffee. I enjoyed the Hotel Zico with my granddaughter a while ago. The Extemded Stay w/their studios & the Hotel Zico are Great Places to stay. They both allow vistors to go out & explore or stay-in for a cozy night.

It is actually too spread out and I definitely could have used a map given out by the Avante Hotel. I ate in a Chicken Fast Food take-out 2 nights, at a Sushi place, and a Cafe. I enjoyed the Computer History Museum. My meetings were in Palo Alto, but it was easy to get there.

We only came for Shoreline Amphitheatre, so I can't speak to the rest of the area, but the concert venue was spectacular. We walked from a nearby hotel to the venue, and felt that traffic control was being handled appropriately, and the sidewalks were safe and clean (it was a pleasant experience to walk to the venue with a gaggle of children).

We are from Connecticut and often visit our son who lives in Saratoga. We have stayed in several hotels in various locations in the Bay Area and found Mountain View to be most centrally located to everything we want to do during our visit. The city looks fun and vibrant. There are tons of restaurants with every food type we like to eat (we love good food.) We highly recommend Mountain View for travelers visiting the Bay Area.

It is mostly a place for people to stay if their child is at Stamford or they have business in the tech field around there, or saw a show at the Shoreline and didn't want to drive home. No one goes there for fun, it is mainly a bedroom community and very pretty.

Location was good from the perspective of being in central Silicon Valley, if you have a car. As a visitor without a car, then options were rather limited, although there were shops and some restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel was rather basic, but very clean and the staff were universally excellent and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable with an enormous TV, if that's important to you! Tea and coffee machine in the room, which was good.

Excellent location in heart of the Valley / Mountain View. In the room you have entire kitchen with all the necessary stuff to cook and eat and sit and enjoy. The rooms on ground floors have direct exit with access to little yard where they have table, chairs and umbrella so that you feed yourself like at patio. Good breakfast too.

It’s very welcoming when you come in, smells lovely. The rooms are a little more basic, bathroom has everything you need. The breakfast downstairs was good but takes ages and isn’t cheap
