Excellent hotel. Everything we needed - couldn't ask for anything more. Great location: close enough to French Quarter (walking distance), quick access to public transport (street cars), but far enough from the noise. Fantastic views of the river. Very comfortable and spacious rooms; great bedding and amenities. Check-out only at 12pm.

FAQs about hotels in New Orleans

Getting its Rhythm Back

The home of jazz, intriguing New Orleans evokes images of Louis Armstrong, wrought-iron balconies and mouth-watering Cajun cuisine. Louisiana’s largest city, the Big Easy is the beating heart of the Deep South.

Dance down Bourbon Street, where jazz saxophones ring out of traditional bars mixed with more colorful nightlife and entertainment venues. There are several New Orleans hotels near Bourbon Street, spread around the French Quarter with its distinctive Creole architecture.

To the south is Jackson Square, dominated by St. Louis Cathedral. Horses and carts wait patiently by the square, and locals set up their stools and start playing catchy tunes. Just behind is the legendary Mississippi River whose waters are still plied by paddle steamers.

From the river you get great views of the CBD (downtown) skyscrapers and the Louisiana Superdome. Booking.com has several hotels nearby, including some on Canal Street, where streetcars and the famous New Orleans Mardi Gras carnival pass down.

In the northern suburbs is New Orleans City Park, one of the oldest US parks and larger than NYC’s Central Park. Waterways lining it flow into large Lake Pontchartrain bordered by a bayou.

I have been to NOLA over the years and NEVER experienced it so clean! Everywhere you looked workers were cleaning trash cans, sidewalks and the streets. SO IMPRESSED! We took our 15 yr old Grandson to the Superdome for the state Footballs playoffs and then to all the "spots". The French Qtr was booming and yet it flowed with ease and again cleaner than I've seen in years! We ate at Deanies in the Quarter (100% awesome!) Also went to the shops in the JAX brewery and to the Museum of Illusions. 100% would go back. It was so entertaining and well worth the $23 to get in. Great entertainment for 15 yr olds to 80!

New Orleans is always a joy to visit.

New Orleans is always a joy to visit. This yr we really noticed how clean the streets were, even Bourban. The waste IV company is doing a phenomenal job. However we did hear the contracts almost up & not sure if they're keeping them. I hope so!! Also taxes are higher than Tx so our meals were pricey. But hey it's Nola with all the best foods.

Bourbon Street a huge no no for us - noisy and crowded.

Bourbon Street a huge no no for us - noisy and crowded. Loud music from virtually every bar and eatery . Friday night was especially crowded. Loud rock/pop ( not jazz - sure it is there but hard to find ) .rest of French Quarter was much quieter. Had a lot of searching for a quiet restaurant . Weather wet our first day - went to Www2 museum which was huge and after over 5 hours there was much more of it to see .

The WW2 museum is amazing and worth the trip alone ....if WW2 history is your thing. Wonderful local music in small hall venues like Spotted Cat, DBA and Preservation Hall. The food scene is varied and vibrant . From gritty places like mothers serving Po' Boys and Catfish to oyster bars like Bourbon House to fine dining in establishments like Peche, August, Herb Saint, Miss River. All interesting choices.... but for v different reasons.

Spending a day in New Orleans was a delight.

Spending a day in New Orleans was a delight. Getting around was very easy, with everything feeling accessible and stress free. the highlight was dinning at Gumbo Shop, where the rich, flavorful gumbo captured the essence of Creole cooking and made the meal unforgettable. Between the ease of exploring and the incredible food, New Orleans offered a perfect mix of charm and convenience.

Very stylish, well situated about a ten minute walk from the French quarter. Loved walking across Canal Street and diving into the historic area of New Orleans. Rooftop bar is a lovely oasis and place to have cocktails and watch the sun go down. Parking was expensive at $55/night plus tax, but in line with what you’d expect in NOLA. Staff were very helpful took good care of the car and made the experience stress free.

Strange hotel with very very nice employees. Looks like nothing, but turned out be very nice. Nice big room, cleen and nice bathrom, more quiet than I would think possible. Downtown, at the very edge of civilisation where downtown turn less nice. Short walk from French Quarter. I enjoyed my stay and the not so posh or upscale area. The girls running the hotel could not have been nicer or more helpful.
