We are avid bird watchers and have wanted to make this trip...
We are avid bird watchers and have wanted to make this trip for 2 years! It did not disappoint! We are planning on returning again. We also visited the Museum of the Gulf Coast. It was fantastic! The biggest challenge in this area(and surrounding areas) are the hotels. Very poor reviews! Just don't know where to stay! 🫤

My family stayed at this hotel over the weekend for travel baseball, and we were extremely disappointed. The room was very dirty — the pillow covers looked like they hadn’t even been washed. It was unsanitary and unacceptable. I chose this hotel based on the reviews, but it’s clear now that the reviews were misleading or not legitimate. This experience was far from what was advertised, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others.
