Elegant city with a mixed American and European vibes.

Elegant city with a mixed American and European vibes. Lots of cultural events. A great delight for the art and music lovers. Also, the various museums are there which really help you understand better journey of the city of Steel.

I hadn't visited Pittsburgh in nearly 40 years.

I hadn't visited Pittsburgh in nearly 40 years. The city has transformed in that time. It has a vibrant downtown busy with weekday shoppers and on the weekend has open air markets. The city is increasingly bike-friendly, with well-marked bike routes. I was staying east of downtown (East Liberty) near the universities and found it easy to get around by either car or bike. Point State Park, at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers provides great views of the redeveloped waterfront. On the Sunday I was there, kayakers, pleasure boaters, and tour boats all shared the rivers. Runners, dog walkers, bikers all shared the riverwalk. Pittsburgh's many, many bridges add a colorful backdrop to any scene of the city. It has many interesting neighborhoods to explore.

This time we only stayed in Pittsburgh for a short overnight...

This time we only stayed in Pittsburgh for a short overnight visit, but enjoyed briefly seeing the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University and eating at the Union Grill near CMU. In the past, we visited several attractions including the Pittsburgh Zoo, the Duquesne Incline, the Carnegie Science Center (now called the Kamin Science Center) and the National Aviary. We had a great time and ever since then I have wanted to go back!

Not much on big cities, I live in a very rural area. I joined some friends that flew in from Vegas and I absolutely enjoyed myself! Seeing all the culture, just walking around the city, had an absolute blast! So many different places to eat, drink. Everyone was laid back. Kudos to the burgh!

Loved the botanical garden and the illusion center!!!

Loved the botanical garden and the illusion center!!! Illusion center could be updated and refreshed. Only thing that was unfortunate was the homeless people that you could tell were not in the best shape. The puttshack was really fun. Service was okay. A lot of empty drinks on the course that were empty and not being tended too. Overall great time!

my wife and I have fond memories of Pittsburgh from our days at CMU. And I’m a Pittsburgh area native so we always love coming to our city of many hills and bridges and we came on an absolutely gorgeous weekend. Pittsburgh is truly a clean and beautiful city with friendly and beautiful people. There are so much to do between the sports activities with the two major stadiums walking around the city just to see the sites and enjoy the bridges the Andy Warhol Museum, Randy, land bike heaven so many fun attractions the inclines the views from Mount Washington the strip district with all the great shops and stores. We’ll keep coming back.

What a bizarre hotel. Right out of a sience finction movie. Huge, big, dark, impressive. We had a corner room overlooking the bridges and the river. The windows could be opened. Great room, great shower and bath. A huge TV with excellent reception and I thought also Netflix and youtube, but we did not try the last two. There are reasonable restaurants nearby, but it is helpful if you make reservations, otherwise they are full.

I liked mostly the location as it was a 15 walk to PPG Paints Arena. We were there for a concert. The location is in the downtown area, which was convenient. The unit we stayed in was a suite which had a stove, fridge, microwave, utensils, towels, and a clean comfy bed. I also liked that the room we were in was quiet and not on a busy street.

You know -- with every hotel there is always someone or somebody who has a terrible visit. But we didn't. We really liked this place. It's right across the baseball field, down the street from the football field, and only a 15-20 minute walk from downtown. + there is a subway station nearby, Staff was fantastic.

Our host, Carina, was able to accommodate my group for a 1 night stay during a busy weekend where most hotels were fully booked. Great neighborhood and the rooms were clean and well-organized upon arrival. Would recommend if visiting again to Pittsburgh.

Bed was comfy, room was roomy, it's a cheap hotel so it's going to be poor. And I I haven't received my deposit back yet, that was on the 21st of September.
