The cleanliness of the place. I have mold allergy. This place is clean! I stayed here for 6 nights on the 10th floor for a conference at a nearby hotel. House keeping was awesome! They have a schedule but when ask for extra supplies, they willingly provide with a smile. Staff at the front desk are very courteous and polite. Location was perfect! I will definitely come back!

The homeless population is plentiful, but they stick to themselves. We never felt unsafe or bothered by anyone. All the people we met were friendly and very welcoming. The Pearl District is easily walkable with several necessity type places within a few blocks - Safeway groceries, wine and liquor stores, cannabis if that's your vibe. Also a few boutiques shoppes and spas were close by as well. Allora (homemade pasta) was some of the very best Italian our group had ever had!! We took the hour and a half trek across to Cannon Beach to see Haystack Rock and poke a toe in the Pacific (you're so close, how can you not?)! The little beach town didn't disappoint!! I had some of the very best "fresh caught cod " fish and chips I've ever had!! That was at Ecola Seafood Restaurant just off the main drag. Multnomah Falls tour was absolutely a winner - beautiful falls - even in the misty weather!! Some had short hikes to get to them but so worth it if able.

Portland is such a fun, buzzing city with great energy and character. I went to see a show at the Crystal Ballroom and had an amazing meal at McMenamins - both were fantastic experiences. I could easily have stayed longer; there’s so much more to explore!

This hotel is located in a quaint part of town. I felt safe walking about and I saw no need for law enforcement to be roaming the streets. Portland has so much to offer; shopping, good food and amazing entertainment. The hotel offers bikes available to take a nice bike ride, as well.

I went for a wedding and then a concert. Portland was a mixed bag. Delightful around the southern edges, but I didn't feel comfortable or particularly safe walking downtown in the evening. The crazies and street people seemed to be in charge.

Restaurants were great!! Morally twisted Nude biker ride was disgustingly ugly. It amazes me that such a small percentage of twisted groups have ruled over morality, the local administration and law enforcement.

Initially we were disappointed by Portland - downtown main area was pretty empty and full of people on drugs etc. After going on a coast tour we got tips on best areas and fell in love with it very quickly. It's all about the neighbourhoods. We loved the Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden was stunning (we have been to Japan and my husband lived there so have some comparison). We loved Alberta Arts District, Nob Hill, Powell's City of Books and the Saturday market by the river and farmer's market. We also saw live music in NE area and ate very well wherever we went. Just don't expect it to be a regular city with classic tourist areas or busy downtown.

My check-in experience and staff friendliness was really good. My room was spacious and the bed really comfortable. The lobby offered free coffee (delicious), and water until about noon. The lobby music was fantastic (chill vibes). The artwork in reception and downstairs was quirky and interesting and there was a local paper and lots of material to look at for inspiration around Portland. Portland itself is individual, relaxed and beautiful. Downtown is vibrant. As a solo female I felt safe walking around by myself and nobody bothered me.

People were always helpful and friendly. The location felt safe (especially compared to other parts of downtown). It was also convenient to walk to other parts of downtown and there were many nearby bus options that were convenient to go to other parts of the city. Really the convenience was very satisfactory. The garden area was very nice to sit in. In general the condition of the hotel was quite nice. I would come back here, if they keep the current price points.

Convenient location for Downtown (although downtown itself isn't the nicest part of Portland). Clean and Quiet. Large comfortable bed with motion sensor downlights underneath which came on automatically when you got out of bed in the middle of the night, which can either be useful or annoying depending if you are the one getting up or not. Nice large shower. Only ate in the cafe once but the breakfast burrito was very good.

The ambiance of the hotel as it was built long ago, yet updated to modern conveniences inside, give it a certain charm that's hard to replicate. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect being in the Pearl District of downtown Portland.
