Potsdam is a very nice town.The river and parks on the shores provide shade and cooling breeze.There are many nice places to eat and shop,and it's nearby a town the has free concerts on it's green

This is a nice place to visit if you are looking at colleges. As someone with a gluten allergy, I loved that most of the local restaurants had gluten free options on the menu, including a gluten free bakery in town.

It was a most interesting historic town. It was of personal interest since a young education student is a waitress at our golf club. She mentioned that her boyfriend was on a full hockey scholarship at Clarkson. The Clarkson university campus is extremely beautiful . The young waitress is a remote student and is an exchange with a Canadian university. She said the program is outstanding and she will have her degree in less than a year.

I've visited Potsdam many times over the last 10 years and have always found something new to do! There are good food options, lots of outdoor activities and the town is located close enough to Canada, the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain to allow for wonderful day trips.

Didn’t explore the area much because we were just dropping off our son at SUNY Potsdam. The location of the hotel was on a main road and within walking distance of several dining options and shopping.

Wonderful town with polite and lovely people. They greet you on the street, invite you to local events and the Sunday service. Breakfast at the Bagel Bros., lunch at Maxfield’s or Jake’s on the Water is a must. The Clarkson Inn is a wonderful hotel to stay. For reliable taxi service call Zero Taxi.
