A nice quite small country town. It was like a town ten years back in time. It was so easy to get around the streets of Shelby and parking was a breeze and free. People were friendly everywhere and lots of convenient little shops downtown and theres even a mall. We really enjoyed our Bojangles breakfast. The cashier was so helpful and made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed our visit.

A great "small town" in North Carolina. Many things to do and see there. Many historic places to visit in the area. Many places to visit that are dedicated to local well known celebrities. A beautiful area to explore the out-of-doors.

We visit here often and love the peaceful area which offers plenty of great Mexican Restaurants and other food places! The casino is not to far away. People seems quite friendly enough and we would actually consider it as a new home if we were ever considering moving near this area! It has everything we need and more !

We started going here because it located close to the Casino and Now we visit here just for a getaway , from the Outlet and great Mexican Restaurant we came across right next to the outlet, it's a very nice place to visit or just getaway for the weekend! We love it

Shelby is a very friendly small town headed SW from Charlotte, NC. It is an interesting and upcoming smaller town with excellent food, easy parking and an active county arts council who hosted a well curated and interesting book arts exhibit. We had a very pleasant stay at Morgan and Wells B&B. We ate at Izzy's Q which was delicious and fun with outdoor dining. There were some interesting shops with very friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed coming to town and hope to bring a friend later in the summer.

I only visited Shelby because of relatives. Shelby is a very conservative town, expect to see flags flying from large trucks. They are trying to redo the downtown square to draw more tourists to the country music museum. (its two blocks from the hood and homeless so it's almost a joke) I believe they should spend more on the roads and properties in the low income areas, instead of beefing up the businesses and appearance of the center of town. Streets and parking lots are all run down and so many closed businesses, it will soon be a ghost town. If you get seriously sick in Shelby, try to go to a Charlotte hospital ...Good Luck!
