The member of staff we spoke to, Praise, was lovely and very welcoming. She was operating reception and also doing cleaning. Despite being so busy she was bubbly and friendly. The facilities were very clean and the Inn was quiet yet close to highway.

My daughter and I used the Lumberjack Hotel as a starting point to visit Yosemite Park. It is about a 45-minute drive from the park entrance, making the drive to the park very pleasant. The hotel is excellent, with friendly staff, parking in front of the hotel, and an ideal room equipped with all possible amenities such as toiletries, towels, etc. The air conditioning works great. The internet is fantastic; we even used it also in a nearby Korean restaurant. The hotel is located in the old part of Sonora, so there are many restaurants and bars around it. The breakfast is good. Everything from the rooms to the common areas is extremely clean. The hotel is an ideal place, and the pool is also very well-maintained and clean.

Sonora is a lovely town, and there is so much to see and do...

Sonora is a lovely town, and there is so much to see and do close by. Angels Camp, Columbia, and Yosemite all within easy driving distance. Staying at the Casino adds a little night time adult fun too.

We just wanted a short getaway.

We just wanted a short getaway. We enjoyed the Casino and the service at the restaurant downstairs was so delightful both for dinner and next day for breakfast. The waiters were very attentive, helpful and very friendly. The food was very good.

We stopped here on our way to Yosemite. The hotel interior is old fashioned American style, but the room is huge and the bathroom was seperated in a toilet room and shower.
