There is little to see in Williamstown itself, apart from the campus of the college, which is less architecturally pleasing than (say) Amherst. Nonetheless, it is an excellent base from which to see the Berkshires and southern Vermont.

Two days and one night was perfect.

Two days and one night was perfect. Went to Williams College Art Museum and the Clark Art Institute. Did not this time go to MasMoca, but it is nearby. Also saw a great movie at the cinema. The only issue was pretty much everything closes by 9. We hoped to grab dinner after the movie, but ate cheese and crackers in our motel! That was our own bad planning!

Amazingly fun town in a beautiful setting.

Amazingly fun town in a beautiful setting. We have visited Williamstown for Williams College several times--we love the town. We have eaten at Coyote Flaco: EXCELLENT! We love Tunnel City Coffee: great coffee shop with some wonderful bakery and breakfast items. Lickety Split Ice Cream: SUPER RICH and creamy--a little goes a long way with this little gem. Water Street Grill: Great food and 21 rotating beers! Really enjoy the food especially the pasta with chipotle chicken and spicy italian sausage.

What a quaint and wonderful place to visit.

What a quaint and wonderful place to visit. Lots of activities for such a small town. Eateries are plenty and because it is a college town(Bard & Williams College) there's plenty of activities and a vibrant, youthful energy. Also, don't miss an opportunity to visit the Clark Art Institute!!! A plethora of exhibits and music and films to choose from! Plus walking trails throughout the area including the AT(Appalachian Trail).

Museums were great. Food on main street was also great.

Museums were great. Food on main street was also great. We walked in addition to driving. (No small children.) We shopped at Roam, an African artist store. Ate Japanese on Main St., wonderful staff and food (Blue Mango), and had a delicious fish sandwich at Purple Pub. Wonderful waitress there too.

Williamstown and North Adams are different towns and both have a great deal to offer. Easy access between each town, and to multiple hiking trails, as well as superb museums, makes the two towns an extremely attractive visit.

Wow what a great motel. Fabulous welcome and without prompting we were given a map and information on where to go for food, bars and historic part of Williamstown. Breakfast included - again a great welcome by the owners. No hesitation in recommending this brilliant Motel.

Staff was incredibly friendly, even called to ask if I wanted the air on when we arrived. More hotels should do this.
