The lobby, bed, and bathroom are all clean and convenient. However, the staff wasn't really warm, except for one person who helped me check in. He was really nice and communicative. Unfortunately, I don't know his name, but I checked in on November 24th around 8-8:30 pm. A shoutout to him (he wore glasses). The location is perfect! Walking distance to city center so I don't need to book online transportation.

Staff, service, breakfast, location & rooms are amazing! I would recommend Chez Mimosa to anyone who considers to stay a few days in Saigon (HCMC) for a couple of days. The staff is very helpfull, the breakfast at the rooftop (5th floor) is delicious, the accomodation is located in the vibrant District 1 but the rooms are soundproof so that you don't get disturbed by noises from outside. You can easily walk around town since tourist attractions are within max. 30mins walking. Thank you Mark for the pleasant stay and our breakfast-to-go in the early morning on the day of departure!

FAQs about hotels in Ho Chi Minh City

Asian Tradition, French Flair and Growing Modernity

Offering a trip through delicious Vietnamese aromas, small silk shops and ancient pagodas, the streets of Ho Chi Minh City dazzle tourists with their vibrant atmosphere. Its rich culture includes beautiful French colonial palaces mixed with modern skyscrapers that show the power of Vietnam’s economic capital.

Whether you decide to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, or the Municipal Theatre, you’ll see the care shown by Saigonese people in preserving their historic legacy. On the other hand, the Haussmann-style boulevards are typically packed with small motorcycles that make every street crossing a whole new experience.

Contemporary Saigon can be seen in places like the Bitexco Financial Tower, located directly at central Ham Nghi Blvrd. Meanwhile, Saigon Centre or Zen Plaza are some of its modern shopping malls.

For a look into Vietnam’s recent history, don’t miss the Reunification Palace or the War Remnants Museum. A sunset visit to the 23rd September Park is the best way to mingle with the locals.

Indulge yourself in one of the 5-star Ho Chi Minh hotels, or stay in budget accommodation at Pham Ngu Lao Street. Don’t miss the Ho Chi Minh City accommodation deals on Booking.com before arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport!

Ho Chi Minh City: An Energetic Assault on the Senses

Ho Chi Minh City: An Energetic Assault on the Senses HCMC is... a lot. In a fascinating, exhausting, full-throttle kind of way. It’s not a relaxed vacation, but more of an experience. The energy is undeniable. The streets are a mesmerizing chaos of motorbikes—crossing the road feels like a mini adventure every time. The food is incredible, whether it’s a perfect bowl of pho from a plastic stool spot or a modern rooftop cocktail. The history, from the War Remnants Museum to the Cu Chi Tunnels, is heavy but important to see. That said, the heat and humidity are no joke—it hits you like a wall. The traffic noise and constant buzz can wear you down after a few days, and the tourist areas around Ben Thanh Market can feel overwhelmingly pushy. It’s a city of stark contrasts. You’ll see a gleaming skyscraper next to a worn colonial building, and a shiny café next to a street vendor grilling meat. It doesn’t always feel cohesive, but it’s never boring. Overall, I’m glad I went. It’s a vibrant, complicated place that makes you think and feel. I’d recommend it for a traveler looking for stimulation and culture, but maybe not for someone seeking a tranquil retreat. Pack your patience, comfortable shoes, and an appetite.

Don't understimate the need for cash.

Don't understimate the need for cash. If you arrive at an awkward time, make sure to book a safe taxi in advance, I was robbed by a taxi driver I chose at the airport because I only had a big note so long story short, he kept the change. Stay away from Ben Thanh market to buy things or stick to fixed-price shops only when buying there, or make sure you know for sure what you're willing to pay before haggling, otherwise it can be very overwhelming. Go to supermarkets to get any type of food you want to bring back. Grab a motorbike food tour if you can, it's a great way to experience the mad traffic and to see areas you probably wouldn't see on your own. Take your time to see the War Remnants Museum, and make sure you read about the history of the country before you go because it is incredibly rich and complex. Don't try egg coffee anywhere because it can be a great disappointment, do your research!

Ho Chi Minh City – A Vibrant, Energetic, and Fascinating...

Ho Chi Minh City – A Vibrant, Energetic, and Fascinating Urban Experience Ho Chi Minh City is a destination that truly surprises. It’s a place where energy, culture, and modern life blend seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that is both intense and deeply captivating. From the moment you arrive, the rhythm of the city surrounds you — the buzzing scooters, the street food aromas, the lively markets, and the constant movement of people. Ho Chi Minh City is vibrant, dynamic, and full of character. It can be busy and chaotic at times, but that’s also what makes it so alive and unforgettable. A must-visit city for anyone wanting to experience the real heartbeat of Vietnam.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's located in the heart of the city, right in District 1, which made it very convenient to explore. With markets, restaurants, and key attractions all within walking distance, getting around was quick and easy. The central location is definitely one of the hotel's best features. Family operated hotel. Only 13 rooms in the building, located in District 1, about a 10 minute stroll to Ben Thanh Market and Bui Vien Walking Street. Breakfast was basic, with a huge range of fresh fruit to choose from and a set menu made to order. Rooms were very spacious, clean and tidy with aircon to keep the room cool all day long. We were booked to stay again but unfortunately they are upgrading their rooms during our next visit to Ho Chi Minh City.
