I booked at the Charm Spa, just to have a base for a couple of days trekking, I ended up staying for an extra week! To be brief, I can describe the experience as life changing! The owner is a very special lady, during night hours spent around the fire place, she shared with me many aspects of life of the local ethnic cultures and about Vietnam history making me understand nowadays problems and ways of living. The breakfast and meals she cooked for me every day were delicious, she in fact is a professional Vegan chef and author of several books and videos. I caught a flu while I was in Ta Van, at the homestay I was looked after as a member of the family, and taken to an official natural remedy doctor, which was another amazing experience! I also took several herbal baths which were reinvigorating, so the massages given to my aching knees, which are now better! Without doubt I will return to Charming Spa Homestay should I go back to Ta Van in the future.

The staff are the sweetest, most helpful and accommodating people ever. Special shout out to Ruby and Van at the front desk. I was upgraded rooms on arrival, large and spacious and look how they do online. Breakfast had a good selection and you could order from a menu as well as a buffet. French toast, omelettes etc. I was even given a packed lunch for my bus ride back to Hanoi. Room cleaned every day and amenities and water topped up. Tv with English film channels. Good location, only about a ten minute walk from the main high street. Loved my stay!!

Excellent stay and breakfast was awesome. Being a vegetarian the staff helped to get good vegan food for my family . The rooms were sparkling clean and restrooms were well maintained. Special Thanks to Chaung the person who manages the reception during the morning she was excellent and treated us so well and made us feel extremely comfortable. Overall a wonderful stay at a wonderful place
