Ling, who is the main communicator, is a lovely woman who went out of her way to be helpful, especially after I got food poisoning on a cruise. Her husband and two beautiful boys were a delight to be around. They shared family food at no charge and were sincerely concerned about my well being. All the facilities were clean and functional. The only issue was the proximity to a busy road, but the noise died after 10pm. Price was very good. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at this location.

Though the homestay has been through a lot (due to the typhoon in September), the host, Happy, is exceptional and we see why others have loved it so much here! She made us feel at home and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable and well-treated. We were also obsessed with her dogs, Min and Moon, and the other various wildlife around the property! The location is quiet and peaceful, the beds were super comfortable and clean, and toilet/showering facilities were grand. Happy also made us traditional family-style meals which were absolutely delicious, and basically made from scratch, with veggies picked straight from the garden! Happy also can organize tours -- our tour of the bay was AMAZING and a very good value, too. I think for backpackers, it's a perfect stay, and the value for money is really good. Thank you so much to Happy -- we loved spending these three days with you!

The room is beautiful, fully equipped and very delicately decorated, with many virtual living corners. The soft mattress helps me have a good sleep. Green Homestay is incredible! The bungalows and the whole area is very pretty and cozy. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I highly recommend to anyone staying in Cat Ba that doesn't want to be in the busy town center but still very close. The owner and his family are another reason why staying there is so good. They are super helpful and kind and always ready to help us with any questions or to book tours/bus, etc. The food there is really good and authentic as well. Definitely the best stay in Vietnam so far.

It was lovely and clean, super quiet too and the pool so delightful after a long day in the sun! The host was lovely and even after we miss booked the room, she let us stay in the one we thought we had booked at no extra charge! She also let us have an early check in and later check out too which really accommodated to our bus times!! Lovely owner. The breakfast included was fab too. Had a wonderful stay would highly recommend!
