I stayed in 4 hotels on this trip, 3 of which were 5-star, and this was the only one that truly made me feel like I was in a 5-star hotel; even the TV had my name on it when I turned it on. The room had everything of high quality and the service was excellent.

More than just a review, this is advice on how to enjoy Halong Bay from this excellent family-run hotel. We decided to stay at this hotel for two nights to have a full day to enjoy the cruise and return in the evening without having to endure another two-hour journey back to Hanoi. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from the boarding area and offers a stunning view of the bay. Laura took care of everything! She was very professional and kind in managing all our needs: she booked a luxurious cruise for us (with a high-quality buffet and an onboard jacuzzi) at very competitive prices. Thanks to her, we had priority boarding, allowing us to secure the best spot on the boat. The hotel is very simple but functional. The breakfast is excellent, with dishes prepared by Laura's mother. Not to be overlooked, Laura speaks good English, which made our conversations much easier. I highly recommend it for enjoying the bay cruise without the stress of 4–5 hours on a bus to/from Hanoi.

The host and housekeeper were so friendly and caring, always attentive to small details. My three days at Katka passed peacefully and left such lovely memories – I’ll definitely come back if I come back to Hai Phong, and the host gave me some good advices for my trip, appreciate that!

Very peaceful environment. It was the perfect place to overcome our jet lag. Much better to avoid going into Hanoi upon overseas arrival. The staff were wonderful. Nice breakfast.

Both the crew and the food. Everyone is very friendly and smiling. Peter is an exceptional guide. The boat was still undergoing maintenance because it was one of his first trips, but everything was great and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was perfect for a romantic moment with your partner!

We had a one-night stay on the Indochine Grand Cruise in Halong Bay Area , and we absolutely loved it from the very first moment until the last minute! The staff were incredible: so friendly, organised, and always attentive. They explained everything in advance, reminded us about activities, and were present during all excursions, making everything smooth and enjoyable. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented and delicious. I follow a low-carb diet, and I was pleasantly surprised by how many suitable and tasty options were available. Our cabin was comfortable, though we spent most of our time enjoying the wonderful activities or relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine. It was truly the highlight of our 10-day trip in Northern Vietnam — the only experience my family and I genuinely loved from start to finish. The cruise team and program made me feel that I might actually come back to Vietnam again )
