Beautiful old house with lots of history, in a fascinating Karoo town. Our hosts Marcel and Gezina were fantastic and made us feel right at home. Joining them for their home cooked breakfast is highly recommended, and was by far the best we had on our trip.

The owners went beyond expectations, and I got stuck without petrol, about 20 km outside Calvinia. I phoned the owners at 24::00 and told them I would not make it to the accommodation for the night. Francois did not hesitate to offer me assistance! Thank you very much! The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. Thank you yet again!
