Vetho FarmHouse is magical . The views are beautiful, the night sky was stunning. The house has been built to catch both the sunrise and sunset. The staff were fabulous both at the house and the Spa. We walked in the forest and found the lavendar and rosemary field. We had a wonderful few days and will definitely be back.

This is a hidden gem and well worth the travel. It is South Africa's highest town at 2100m above sea level and breathing can be an issue if you have lung problems. Include the following in your stay: Bird of Prey Rehabilitation Centre Milly's food store Whiskey, gin, brandy and wine tastings throughout the town The Fudge shop situated in the antiques shop The Clock Shop A drink at any of the pubs or eateries just savouring the atmosphere.

It is quick to get to Dullstroom from Gauteng.

It is quick to get to Dullstroom from Gauteng. The scenery, restaurants, tourist activities and the people make the place whole. Even though there are no franchise grocery shops such as Spar and Checkers, a delivery service will come handy.

We have stayed in Dullstroom many times, and it never disappoints! On this quick one-night stopover we ate supper at The Dullstroom Inn. The roaring fire in the fireplace has been alight since 1980 - so a lovely place to eat on a cold winter night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

the friendliness of the hotel staff. the room was always clean. firewood was plentiful. nothing was too much trouble ' we ate in the hotel & lots of different restarants in Dullstroom, all were good & value for money. it's very easy to get around Dullstroom. wouldn't avoid anything. everywhere was a pleasure to visit.

It was my partner's birthday, so we went to Clarkys Lakeside...

It was my partner's birthday, so we went to Clarkys Lakeside restaurant to celebrate, and it was nothing short of amazingness, from the staff to the food to the venue itself. We tried exploring as many restaurants as we could but because it was cold, we only managed to do Dunkeld and the Banks. The people of the town are very friendly and welcoming.

We found a gem and we will be back! The attention to detail, the little touches - and the friendly and professional service. This is the perfect place to stay in Dullstroom. The unit is very well equipped, clean and the bed very comfortable. The location is quiet yet close enough to walk to the restaurants and shops. Great having our morning coffee on the terrace, gazing into the serene garden and listening to the wind chimes. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time staying at the DullVino Cottage @ Critchley. The place was clean and tidy and there was enough space for us to move comfortably. It is very close to the centre of Dullstroom and it felt very safe. There is however a busy road going past the back of the Cottage - but was not very disturbing for the 2 nights we stayed. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the crisp air and garden. Overall a great experience.

The location is amazing! So peaceful and tranquil… yet only 15 mins from Dullstroom. We stayed in Dunbar cottage and it was so cosy with the log fire. We walked everyday around the farm, up and down the rolling hills admiring the stunning views. Ian, our host, was most welcoming on arrival and we loved all the cats!
