The staff is amazing - nothing is too much effort, all done with a big smile. I had to leave very early on a Sunday morning, and they said "no problem" and made me a warm breakfast with all the trimmings. I have been to many guesthouses where the host will not make any effort due to it being too early. The two ladies truly jumped in, and served this all with a joyful attitude! Well done! The room was huge, comfortable, spotless clean, with tea & coffee and even 2 rusks. Good communication after booking (I had to collect the key before check-in time, which they gladly assisted with). Great security, convenient location. I can highly recommend this guest house.

Everything was well on point. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were always. The place is very remote but once we arrived, nature was very welcoming and calming. Hospitality is about people. Great hospitality is about exceptional people. The host Marianne makes one feel exceptional. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We booked at Fouriesburg because we did not get accommodation at Clarens. Now we know we are not staying anywhre elaw but at Fouriesburg. Peerboom Guesthouse is located with easy access to the few restaurants in town. Also to the grocery store if one wants to cook. Marianne gives you access to a braai area of you need that. The guesthouse is very ckean and offers good value for money

Great facilities, including swimming pool, tennis court, golf court, ping pong, and many more. The price includes 3 good meals and coffee and tea during the day. Furthermore, some activities are offered by the accommodation such as hiking tours. The staff is very kind, friendly and very attentive. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Wifi is also quite good. I saw some comments about old furniture - indeed, some furniture is not new but is is very well maintained so it did not bother us. Plus, extending the life of furniture is very eco-friendly, which we also very much value. Overall, great experience and highly recommended!

Fouriesburg is a fairly nice and somewhat typical "platteland" town, due to there being a lots of potholes in the streets and many of the streetlights do not work. A few nice places to eat and the town itself is not as commercialised as nearby Clarens.

The place is serene, offering a cathartic experience...

The place is serene, offering a cathartic experience especially if you are from a rat race city like Gauteng. The mountains made it naturally and the interaction with nature revitalized one back to life. For lunch, we visited local shops around 10 km from where we booked. We could get what we wanted. On the east side of F/burg, there is Clarens, a tourist attraction centre, you can do almost everything from spa massage, extreme sports, etc.

Fouriesburg is in very bad shape. Was out of petrol.

Fouriesburg is in very bad shape. Was out of petrol. Had to fill up in Lesotho. For more peacful stays, better to book somewhere out of town. Enjoyed good pizza at Plaasstoep and windmill. Had a great dinner ( lamb Curry )at Fouriesburg Country Inn. Restaurants do close very early. Do not expect to buy groceries in Fouriesburg when you've booked self catering. We only stay over when visiting Lesotho. Stayed at a few guesthouses around the area. Will highly recommend Fat Mulberry guest Farm.

We had a beautiful stay.

We had a beautiful stay. We actually booked a wrong cottage on booking.com and realised it later, but the staff was so great they managed to sort us out to an upgrade actually. The cottage was beautiful, clean, quiet, had free WIFI, clear instructions & very helpful information about activities available in & around Fouriesburg. And they serve a lovely breakfast. My family was is still so grateful

Fouriesburg is beautiful and has a lot of hidden gems and...

Fouriesburg is beautiful and has a lot of hidden gems and activities to do. The only thing is that the R26 is a mess. The potholes are awful. This makes the drive so uncomfortable and you cant see the beautiful scenery this place has to offer. Fix the roads please

Few places to really recommend you visit 1. Di Plaas Stoep - don't miss out on the Biltong & Pap - you will regret it if you don't 2. Jackall Hill Fromage in Station Road - most delicious cheeses - we had the cheese platters and can recommend that

Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation in Fouriesburg. The breakfast arrangement at the Orange Apple a few blocks away works well and we enjoyed our breakfasts. I have stayed at Sandstone Chameleon about five or six times previously and it remains my favourite place to stay in Fouriesburg. David is always there to welcome one and is very friendly and helpful. He is a great asset to the establishment.

From the moment we arrived we were met by friendly staff. Sylvie, our host welcomed us to her absolutely beautiful Botique Hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was scrumptious, fresh and flavourful. The starters, mains and desserts reminded of a FIVE STAR hotel. A great thank you to Sylvie. Vincent and all other staff.

The location was so easy to reach it, the views, the hosts were amazing. They were communicating with since day one I’ve book the accommodation. It was super clean, the comfortable bed, it’s like a mini hotel, they clean after. Their tent was the best 😍😍😍

Very comfortable and easy stay. We were only in town for a night and it was perfect, had everything we could need plus plenty of adequate heating and bedding. Honestly it felt like a hotel, only with no other guests and better pricing!
