The rooms are very comfortable, the house is a treasure and Jonathan is the best host, going out of his way to make your stay unforgettable. Make sure you enjoy a dinner prepared by Jonathan. Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. It was an epic adventure.

Amazing place and location.

Amazing place and location. The staff were very friendly though, especially Carol who makes my wife day so special on her birthday much appreciated, she even upgraded our room that was amazing The ocean view was spectacular, and the breakfast was next level anytime again for me to visit Sea Star Lodge.

We had the king suite, which is enourmous and has the best view on the bay with a lot of windows. The pictures don't do it justice. We also had Christmas dinner with amazing food and a good breakfast. The small indoor poor is also nice to just relax after arriving in the evening before dinner, especially in warm days. The place seems to be a personal home but also used for a hotel. So you have the extras people would only get for their own home like a nice bath, more cosy and comfortable rooms and just better quality.

Exceptional guest house less than 1 minute walk from the main companies providing maritime safari and shark cage diving. Superb host Nicola who was helpful in all our needs. She helped booking shark cage diving (with discount!) and even helped us with laundry. Also, if youre in doubt where to have dinner Nicola will make sure to book the best restaurants in the area. This is a must place for staying in gansbaai area if youre looking for the maritime activities

Warm welcome on arrival. Garage parking and very comfortable 2 bed apartment within the building with balcony and views over Gansbaai. Owners are super friendly and Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We drove into the town to try the Fish & Chips, eating them whilst watching surfers hitting the waves.

The location. It’s all about the location. Gansbaai itself is a nice little town; very peaceful and doesn’t feel too “touristy”. The view from the large balcony is amazing. Garage to park your car. Comfortable bedrooms. Lots of shared space. Indoor and outdoor brais.
