The rooms are very comfortable, the house is a treasure and Jonathan is the best host, going out of his way to make your stay unforgettable. Make sure you enjoy a dinner prepared by Jonathan. The penguin rehabilitation centre was excellent. The harbour is not tourist friendly. If you come to Gansbaai you would love to eat take away fish, But Saturday ,late afternoon no fish and chips were open

Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. It was an epic adventure.

Amazing place and location.

Amazing place and location. The staff were very friendly though, especially Carol who makes my wife day so special on her birthday much appreciated, she even upgraded our room that was amazing The ocean view was spectacular, and the breakfast was next level anytime again for me to visit Sea Star Lodge.

This hotel was so beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice! Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, room has the most incredible view, rooms are clean and modern. Located opposite the beach where we watched whales and orcas. There is a quick hike to a cave a couple minutes drive away. About 10 minutes from town where there are a few restaurants and most activities (whale watching, shark diving etc). Breakfast was exceptional - warm options, great coffee and a great spread. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

It’s a lovely villa just above the sea with great views! A little walkway leads directly down to the beach - perfect white sand and blue waters (cold ;)) Everybody at the Romans Villa is friendly and will help You with anything You ask. Food is delicious and the Bar is equipped very well (even 4 different Grappas) Thank You everybody at the Romans Villa for lovely days in Gansbaai - we will be back!

No Breakfast option, but the balcony with seaview and direct acccess to beach was wonderful. Close to many other attractions like Gansbaai harbour for boat trips and restaurants. Quiet and peaceful . Beautiful sunsets & sunrises. Laudromats within easy reach.
