This was by far our best stay during our 3 week trip in South Africa! Our room was exceptionally clean and smelled very nice and the garden with pool is very beautifull. The owners Manuela and Yigal did everything to make our stay comfortable and are lovely people. They even gave us advice about accomodation and restaurants in Cape Town. We will definately return here if we come back to South-Africa.

The town has a long history and it is very well worthwhile...

The town has a long history and it is very well worthwhile exploring the sights in town as well as the nature reserves nearby. The Valley of Desolation is amazing. Plenty of good places to eat in town. On Sundays the town is very quiet.

It was easy to find the accommodation.

It was easy to find the accommodation. Graaff - Reinet is a must visit town! I found the staff at 4 Rothman street B & B to be professional, friendly and helpful in particlar due to the fact that I arrived very late. Unfortunately it was only overnight stay. I will visit Graaf - Reinet again to explore more of the town and surrounds.

We enjoyed our lunch at Maria's café as well as dinner at Coldstream Restaurant and visited the Graaff-Reinet Museum. We also browsed through local small business shops and bought very delicious dried fruit at Kamdeboo Slaghuis. The highlight of our visit to Graaff-Reinet was most definitely our stay at the Drostdy Hotel with superb breakfast. The friendly hospitality of the well trained staff stood out. We will definitely visit Graaff-Reinet again in near future.

We spent 4 days in total in Graaf Reinet which was perfect...

We spent 4 days in total in Graaf Reinet which was perfect for visiting Camdeboo, valley of desolation, museums, restaurants, general sightseeing. Make sure you visit the new fossil centre - it is truly world class.

I love Graaff-Reinet!

I love Graaff-Reinet! This town is well maintained and has the best restaurants. Maria’s roastery is a must for coffee and breakfast, Hello You is the cutest little lunch/ dinner spot and the Drostdy Hotel is a must for delicious fine dining or even just pop into their bar for cocktails. Sundowners at the valley of desolation is a Must! Visit Tim and take a tour of his farm and do a tequila tasting too at Roodebloem farm. It’s a walkable town and there are also many game farms close by if that’s something you’re into. Nieu-Bethesda is also not too far away for a day trip.

We had a lovely stay, but would have liked a room with a bit of an outside area. We had this when we stayed her 18 months ago, but I guess we got a complementary upgrade last time. The staff were exceptional and we had nothing, but good service. We were particularly pleased with the server we had for breakfast (Amie Seekooi). The Hotel is very well located and most attractions are within walking distance. The Drostdy Hotel remains the Grand Old Dame she always was!

Die Dorpshuis in Graaff-Reinet was absolutely amazing, everything and more what we expected. Very well equipped and clean. Well located and safe parking for our car.
