Felt like we were going back in time!

Felt like we were going back in time! So rustic, tranquil and relaxing. Blessed to know that places like this still exist! Horses roaming the streets, local markets and most venues, pet friendly! What more can one ask for?

Greyton is a picturesque little village with quaint streets and architecture, with leiwater channels flowing down the lanes and horses wondering down the main road. It is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise with great mountain biking and lovely hiking trails.

Lovely village in a beautiful, scenic setting surrounded by mountains, valleys, streams, rolling green hills - lots of heritage buildings, coffee shops, delis, restaurants, galleries, live concerts, Saturday markets, also pet friendly and small enough to walk everywhere. Very friendly locals! Perfect country getaway for families, hiking / mountain biking, exploring.

The Post House offers wonderful accommodation with delicious breakfasts. Stay a weekend and enjoy the Saturday market. Eateries a must, Abby Rose and Rupert's. Spoil yourself with handmade decadent Von Geusan Belgian chocolate and jewellery from Graeme Bramley at the Old Coach House. Visit the shops and get to know the locals. Get a table at Potters Inn, enjoy a beer or a beverage on the patio, and watch the horses roam freely and the donkeys pass-by, and time stand still.

The town is beautiful.

The town is beautiful. The amosphere is relaxing and laid-back. The towns - people are very mindful of visitors and were helpful and friendly. At one point, we were approached to ask if we needed assistance. The short hiking trail we took was beautiful.

Some very nice stores.

Some very nice stores. Sadly trading times are not conducive to stimulating business. Nice people and the all too short Saturday market ( 10-12 am) is well stocked. Restaurants are not quite on the spot with rather poor offerings. It is apparent that Pizza is the thing to go for.. All in all its a good getaway, but could be a lot better.

Cute studio style cottage in the heart of Greyton. Hot tub a perfect add on to soak in after our cycle race. Cute family dog came and visited us sitting so politely at the door waiting to be let in. Would definitely visit again!

Lovely house and garden, within short walking distance of Greyton town centres. Had all amenities we needed. This is our second stay at the house, and we will return in future.

Walking distance to the main road. Peaceful and quiet area. Accommodation was cozy. The electric blanket was a great surprise as Greyton was extremely cold.
